Nobody can say Peyton isn't smart, he's still IMO the smartest QB of all time, but it's likes giving the best race car driver a crappy beat up car that isn't as fast as the other cars on the track. Eventually the raw physical limitations do you in. Manning cannot improvise. He gets by knowing where everyone in the field is and where they are going to be. He can't afford to be wrong, have to improvise, and then flick a "laser rocket" ala Rodgers. He has to know where he is going with the ball before the snap

Can manning beat a team deep? Yea, but only if he's looking that way the entire time, and only to a certain extent. Just watch any game we've lost since he's been here, literally, they almost all look the same, watch how the defense plays him.

The pats are not going to let him dink and dunk.
Meanwhile the team was 7-1 with him starting the regular season (losing the last game he started... when injury started getting bad). I took a quick glance so it may be 7-2, but that'd still be related to him trying to play through the injury losing 2 in a row after being undefeated. And that's not counting coming in for the Chargers game to lead them to victory.

He comes back in the playoffs and they win and now have another game at home to get to the SB.

I understand thinking NE will win the game but this chicken little sky is falling narrative is a bit much. THIS Peyton Manning, paired with the other pieces on the Broncos this year, has been EXTREMELY successful.

Surprised so many are picking NE to win. I was shocked to see them -3 in this game. I figured it would be Denver -1. Gun to my head, I'm picking DEN. NE does not play well out there. Think it will be a tough, close game.

This week reminds me so much of Baltimore 3 years ago. Everybody thinks we are bullet proof

Hope I'm wrong, but I think we are in for a rude awakening
I think you are off the mark here.
Most people seem to be picking NE this game. That is very different from the Baltimore game where Denver was the unquestioned favorites.

Based on my experience, only ones who think their team is certain to win are the bandwagon fans.

Let me guess, Alfred Williams?

If so, I wouldn't be worried about his opinion.

Yeah I'm making mountains out of molehills.

Honestly I'm just scared about this game. I'm setting up defense mechanisms and putting up walls so if we lose I don't hurt too bad.

I'm gonna try to relax. Should be a tough battle either way!
