Totally agree.

Re: 2013 Transactions Thread

Yeah but how many other starting WRs return Kicks/Punts 3-4 times a game and getting 4-5 additional handoffs? Less than a handful maybe?

But I'm guessing this is the one time of the year where Percy Harvin making $11 mil per year is OK because if this were any other time of the year, he'd be considered overpaid(to which I think he is but we get one of these every offseason so I'm not surprised).

So glad Asomugha is gone, what a freaking mistake that turned out to be.

I blame more so on the coaching staff rather than individual players.

You're right. The Giants are playing it right, from a business perspective. That being said, if he doesn't get a deal, Cruz should play it right from his perspective and hold out. The only leverage he has are his services as a WR. He should withhold those services.
I think Cruz has out-played his abilities. He is valuable, but he is also replaceable. A healthy Nicks(who knows if that's possible) is worth a lot more to NY. They obviously want to keep Cruz, but I think Cruz wants #1 money...he is not a #1 WR...nor can the Giants afford to give him that.

Re: 2013 Transactions Thread

Yeah its easy to say just pay the man. But relative to what we need to get done contract wise down the road, we cant pay Cruz no 5 year 55 million. Can't happen. Cruz isnt worth that for us.

Plus the track record of skill players on offense leaving the team is horrendous. The Giants believe in next man up. What we got out of Cruz for 500k per was stellar. Let somebody else pay for him. I would wish him nothing but the best if he were to move on, unless it were with the Eagles.

That statement right there is what defines good teams.

Free agency is funny when you look at it....you constantly see bad teams pay a lot of money to players for what they've already done.
