Yeah, the Packers don't need him. I honestly don't know where he will go.

I heard they could make a move for Percy Harvin, which makes sense now that they aren't keeping Welker. NFL.com ranked the top 4 WR's available (Bowe, Welker, Wallace, Jennings) and said that Welker can only succeed with a good quarterback. Wes could go to the Packers or Falcons.
Just because they didn't tag him doesn't necessarily mean he's out. His tag number is too high this year ($11.4M) even if he didn't drop any passes they weren't going give him that much, especially when we only have around $18M in cap space. I'm sure they'll try to work something out, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's done in NE.

There have also been rumors that the Pats will cut Lloyd, not sure what we'll do at WR if that's the case. As much as I would love to have Harvin on the Pats I can't see that happening. He wants $10M+ a year and would cost us a draft pick to acquire him. Harvin is a great player, but the Pats rarely give out big contracts to guys who haven't already shown they can succeed here.

Back to Welker, if he does hit FA I think the Colts are a real option. They have a lot cap space and I really think Welker would thrive with Luck as his QB.

I still say Harvin is going to stay with Minny.

I would be delighted, too.

However, TT doesn't usually go after FA, he develops with the draft. Plus, need to pay Jones, Claymaster, Raji and Rodgers soon.

Looks like Nate Burleson restructured his contract to stay in Detroit.

Re: 2013 Transactions Thread

Not a big name or big splash, but George Wilson to the Titans is a huge deal for that team. Could be another FA year like 2006 when we picked up Thornton, Hope, and Mawae.
