Brady had an AV of 16 and Dillon had an AV of 15 (while missing a game) for that 2004 Patriots team. So yeah, I'd say that Dillon was pretty valuable to the success of their championship team that year.

So this will take some projection and I know the injuries already have had an impact but what about Gronk? I think if he can have 4-5 years being healthy he could be within shouting distance of the HOF.

Easily the best true TE of his generation. IMO he is the only true great TE in the league. Graham doesn't block. But he needs to stay healthy like you said. There is a good chance he will be in there. Also if this team stays together there is a good chance he gets at least 1 more ring.

What do you consider "his generation"?

Best TE of his generation? Don't know about all that.

What's considered "his generation"?

Depends on Gronk's "generation" as has been said, but I think he's probably going to get in.

Also, did I just see people remember Dillon as a Patriot? Always will remember Dillon as a beast of a Bengal.

My thoughts on Gronk's generation is when he came in to whenever he finishes. You could it is arguable because of Gates and Gonzalez but they are both either in the end of their prime to retiring. As of right now he is the best true TE in the league. But we need to see how long he lasts and how many games he plays.

And what about the both of them? Gates and Gonzalez.

Gates and Gonzo are no doubt hall of famers. Not even a question. A mortal lock, IMO.
