I wonder how it would be if the Eagles weren't as successful as they have been over the past decade, though. Didn't see much Phillies gear until the last 5 years. Still a good amount of diehards, but now everyone has some form of Phils stuff. It's kind of annoying being a loyal fan of sports teams through thick and thin to see the fair weather fans, but it's their own thing.
I don't think anything would change too much. Now if the Phillies weren't as successful as they have been, there would be a massive dropoff in "fans". Never have I seen to many bandwagon fans for a Philadelphia team

And the cover athlete for NFL Blitz was Kordell Stewart, and I found out he played for the Steelers. So I would always play as the Steelers when I played the game and then when I started watching actual football near the end of the 2000 season, I was drawn to and rooted for the Steelers, and I suppose it helped a little that they were on TV relatively frequently in 2001 and they made the AFC Championship, which my 9 year old self cried over after the loss. And since then I've been a diehard Steelers fan.

I did grow up in the Dallas area however, but I was never going to be a Cowboys fan because my parents are Redskins fans because they both worked in the DC area for quite a few years in the 80's.
Heh, that's interesting. I'd been wondering how you got to be a Steelers fan considering you and all of your other pro teams are in Texas. Slash was a fun player to watch, but he was just to inconsistent to play QB as it seems most true dual threat QB's seem to be in the NFL.

Dad was a Dolphins fan. Like HIV or sickle cell anemia, he passed the wretched curse onto me.

Born in Dallas

Just fell in love with the silver & blue. They are my team until the end(unless we ended up in a Snyder esque type regime someday)

Jerruh is Snyber before Snyder so you should've stopped being a fan in 1996

Yeah, I realized that even in 2002 when he had an awful game against the Patriots. But when I was 6 in 1998, I thought he was the best thing in the world because on was on the Blitz cover.

Re: Why do you support your team?

I was born in Oklahoma and the two closest pro teams were the Chiefs and Cowboys. I chose the Cowboys.

I goto Dallas a few times a year and even catch a game from time to time.

Re: Why do you support your team?

The Giants were my step father's favorite team, so I pretty much adopted them as my own.
