Re: 2011 NFL Draft Thread

Whoever created that list felt the need to include Will Hill. That made me chuckle.

Dane Sanzenbacher deserves a chance somewhere.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft Thread

ESPN's commentators have once again, reminded me why I only watch the draft of NFLN. Do these "men" understand that being drafted is a great moment in the lives of these "kids"? Why sit there and demean these guys on their draft day. Mike Mayock is so much better at saying negative things without trying to embarrass or demean someone.

I only watched ESPN for about 15 minutes and it was in the 6th round and some team drafted a punter. ESPN pans to Trent Dilfer who was sitting there with his hands in his face grandstanding and carrying on while the rest of the hyenas have a good laugh at this kids expense. I'll never forget how badly they dogged Darius Heywood-Bey and haven't watched them since. I don't know why but it pisses me off when they go overboard and are overly negative on what is a special day in the life of a college football player.

Im with you on that, you litterly took the words out of my mouth. I watched espn for arround 10 minutes and that was when nfl net went to commericials. Kiper is the biggest reason I hate espn, he just doesnt seem to understand that these coaches know way more than him, he acts like he knows everything and you can see how his expression changes when its been proven to the whole world that he was wrong.

LOL Damn my man Will Hill ain't get picked?

Anyway, what's up with Herzlich not getting drafted? Was he simply a product of the BSPN Hype Machine because "he was fighting back from Cancer" or is he simply not that good?

He does have a good way of "being honest". He does not just say something negative about someone, but he always back it up with a postive comment about the player. It seems like Mcshay is trying to be like Mel Kiper. Dilfer, kickers and punter are people(just not as athletic)
Mcshay is my favorite draft expert, he tells it like it is.
I only watched ESPN draft during commercial breaks in NFLN(too many). Espn had too many coach interviews and was not as fast NFLN when it came to vids. NFLN seemed to know when not to talk and when to talk. NFLN did not skip any picks at all.

Probably that whole "My leg is a steal rod" thing scared everyone off.

Kiper never criticizes any teams for their picks. It can be the last pick in the Draft, who'll probably be out of the league in 3 years and Kiper will still say "Oh, don't worry because he'll be a key contributer on this team right away".
