Re: World Cup of Basketball in Spain

Who should Korver and Lilliard beat out? They weren't competing with Plumlee.

I thought they would both make it, and derozan and plumlee wouldnt. I thought at least one of them would make it over derozan. I thought for sure he would be cut

Lillard is better than Kyrie is and Korver/Parson > Plumlee. Goodman said on twitter the final spot was between Drummond and Parsons, so theoretically they were.

It's not about "who's better". Though I do not think Lillard is better than Kyrie

There ain't no way anyone can prove Lillard is "better" than Kyrie, not to mention the fit is what's most important.

Korver/Parsons are solid but their services are offered from what they already have on the team. Coach K wanted to make sure he had size. Not that I totally agree with Plumlee but after Cousins tweaked something I started to get a little uneasy about their bigs. I'd take him as insurance at this point.

Re: World Cup of Basketball in Spain

I know Lillard had the better NBA season this past year, but Kyrie was back to his 2011-2013 form what I saw of Team USA this summer. I remember way more moments of Kyrie shining versus Lillard.

For the 100th time, it's not about who's the better individual player. But what exactly are they going to miss from Korver or Lilliard that they won't get from any of the other Guards?

They got enough guys on there that can play multiple positions(especially guys that can play the 2 or 3)that Parsons was going to have a hard time making that cut anyway.
