Lin should get a flopping warning for that.

That Kobe stare at Jeremy on the floor will be a gif soon enough.

Kobe with the triple double.

This was a horrible game for everyone but Harden and Parsons and I guess Asik too.

Guess nights like this are expected though. Rockets have had a pretty tough schedule so I'm not too mad.

Seriously, what the hell was Mike Brown doing?? Not that they even look like world beaters but they look worlds better. They looked worse than awful with Nash in the lineup... I think his firing has now been validated. Hopefully with Nash back they take it to the next level

The Princeton Offense was definitely creating paralysis by analysis for almost every player. Sure, they would have eventually figured it out well enough to be a solid team by the end of the season, but it was never going to be something that would play to the strengths of most of the players on the team. That Brown looked at this the composition of this roster and decided, "Yeah, Princeton Offense, that's the ticket", showed irrevocably that he was the wrong man for the job.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

How was that dunk any different than this?

Besides he's a rookie, and he apologized.

Their offense was fine. They were getting lots of good shots for everyone, including Gasol. The Princeton would have taken time to really mould but given the players they have - Nash, Kobe, and Pau - they would have made it awesome. Remember the bad run (leading to his firing) was with Steve Blake at PG, who went from being the most underrated (backup) PG with the clips to a pure ball of suck with Lakers. The big problem with however D'antoni will implement his offense will be Pau's role.

The reason Brown got fired was because Lakers were atrocious on D despite having a defensive minded coach - which doesn't make sense why they brought in D'antoni given his offensive leanings. Apparently he (as in D'antoni personally) doesn't even do defensive drills in practice.

But anyhoo. If the problem was that the players lost faith in Brown the firing was justified. I still think he should have been given more time, its not like any other team was jumping to take D'antoni in. If Zen master was coming back - yeah sure you'd fire whoever was there but it seems weird to make the change now.

Absolutely tore through Houston though.

Re: 11/18 - 11/25 Game Discussion Thread

I don't know, the offense they had looked completely disjointed. It didn't result in nearly as many post ups as Dwight has gotten since Brown left and now overall it seems like they have much more flow. I know under Brown the stats looked pretty good offensively as a team, but my eyes saw a jumbled mess.. with Steve Nash of all people looking about as effective as Derek Fisher.

I've always said the Princeton was a great principle foundation to strive for but the execution and/or implementation was awful.

I don't recall all of these open looks you speak of under Mike Brown's guidance.

The defense just has to be middle of the road really as long as you can have your offense be potent, which it should be with their starting lineup. Defensively they're never going to be better than average because of Nash/Kobe/Pau.

Since he's left they've looked honestly much more fluid and certain of what their reads and spacing.
