Not sure if it's been posted, but they've cancelled 43 preseason games...

Camps closed indefinitely, 43 preseasons games cancelled. Getting serious now.

I couldn't disagree more. Goodell has shown nothing to prove that he is more compentent or a better representative than Stern. People on OS just have a thing about Stern and love to blame him for the NBA's ills.

LOL and Smith...Jesus. He just signed one of the worst CBAs in NFLPA history for players and total overplayed his hand with decertification. Hunter on the other hand has negotiated 2 straight great CBA's for his players and is unwilling to fold to the agents and decertify.

Not really. Even if the meeting was great yesterday, the NBA probably would have still cancelled those games. Panic time comes the second week of October.

Seriously, Smith's move to decertify was so bad that he actually held a conference where he told the NBAPA to not do it because it was such a bad move.

I'm actually surprised how this is going right now. Thought it was going to be much bloodier than what we are seeing right now. In fact, the civility is very reassuring.

I'm thinking basketball in October is a no go, but in November, absolutely.

At least no one questions the legitimacy of NFL games.

**waits for someone to throw in reference to Super Bowl XL**

How about the Tuck Rule Game? I'm sure I can think of others but I rather not just so I can enjoy the NFL product more.
