I think the A's pitcher was Justin Duchscherer.

Nah, that guy hasn't played in a few years. It was actually a current player that said it.

Yeah, that actually was what I was referring to after all. I just thought it was last year and not nearly three seasons ago. Either way, there was nothing wrong with his comments and him being honest about the way he feels.

I'll throw out a scientific/technological one: Resurrection of the dead up to 24 hours will one day be possible.
