Dark Souls (PS3/360)

The difficutly part doesn't scare me because I grew up with the NES. I got my *** kicked for years on a few games and I just kept trying.

Should I start with Dark Souls or is Demon Souls a must? I saw a review that said the prison level was a must see because it's so disturbing.

Does Demon Souls look outdated by comparison?

Do you lose all your souls when you die or heal in the bonfire? Or can you stock up on souls to buy expensive items? That has me thrown off a little.

Demons Souls isn't a must, but it doesn't look outdated at all.

If I were you I would go straight into Dark Souls though. They basically have perfected Demons Souls with this game.

When you die you lose yours souls until you can touch your bloodstain on the ground (of course if you die again before you touch the bloodstain, then you are **** out of luck.)

The bonfire gives your health back, but it also respawns the enemies that you have killed.

Thats awesome..I did not know that..thanks. So I can stockpile souls and if I die, just go back to the point of death and touch the stain. I though the stain was random players on Xbox live only and not me.

Your bloodstain will be bluish in color to stand out so you can recognize it. You can stockpile souls, but just make sure you can get back to the stain.

Side Note:

I don't know why they release so many games all at once in the fall. The summer was bone dry for AAA releases! A game like Dark Souls would have been perfect in May or June. I have no less than fifthteen must-buy games before Christmas and now Dark Souls has entered into the mix...

Yeah, it's awful.

I have four great games in front of me. PES 2012, NBA 2K12, Dark Souls, and Rage.

So hard to decide what to play. But, I am not complaining.

I played BF3 demo..it was ok..wrote that off and decided on Dark Souls and MW3 will be it. I will probably not buy another game until the EA Grand Slam tennis release.
