That leaves it up in the air of whether it was all about falling in line in NE or if he's changed. I think he's made it pretty clear which it was since the preseason has started. On Hard Knocks he's just saying/doing things to keep the cameras on him. Even in his young days of Cincy, he never cursed as much as he was in that first episode. In the main profanity laced interview he pretty much said he fell in line in NE and now the old Chad's back (with some choice curse words included). And now this crap with his wife. I'm not proud to admit I've seen Basketball Wives, and specifically seen the two of them interact on the show. I actually believe they got in a heated argument and accidentally butted heads as he said because of how both of them are. I still don't believe he's an off the field "problem" or a locker room cancer. But he is an attention whore, and I didn't have any desire to have someone like that on my favorite team even when he was backing it up in Cincy.

At least Harvard has this Wonderlic anecdote to his credit:

As is the case for most incoming NFL rookies, Fitzpatrick took the Wonderlic Test. A draft commentary on the NFL's official website reported that he made a perfect score, while setting a speed record by completing the exam in nine minutes.[2] According to a The Wall Street Journal report that appeared in the September 30, 2005, edition, Fitzpatrick scored a 48 on the exam, not a 50—still considered an exceptionally high score, but the claim that he completed the test in nine minutes is accurate. While his actual score is unknown, he has been quoted acknowledging he left at least one question blank.[3] As the Wonderlic score is the number of correct answers to 50 questions, the best he could have scored would be a 49.

I'll take the Wondelic guy at QB any day over the "rich man's" Jamarcus Russell...or the Thigpen...

Well I haven't watched Hard Knocks so I don't know whether it's Johnson just doing all that because he hasn't had media coverage in over a year or what but I still think in the right environment he'll be a good addition to any team. (well maybe except the Jets)

I think it's possible too. I've got nothing against Chad, he actually seems like a great guy. He just doesn't really get it. He never did but he had his talent clouding the message. Now that's in question but he's still got the same act... worse even.

I don't know if you have HBO but you really should check out the 1st episode if you can. It was the first time his act really rubbed me the wrong way. Before I just didn't think it was a good look bc it puts pressure on everyone, not just him. This was on another level. All the cursing, and acting like he owned the place. I used to think he was smarter than that.

With that said, I still don't think his current legal issue should play a role either way.

I'll have to check that out.

Yeah... That Guy isn't a full-on Bills fan so take his faith with a grain of salt

Re: Official Buffalo Bills Thread

I happened to see an article on the Bills official site where Gailey basically said they're going to be using the No Huddle quite a lot with empty backfield sets this year.

On paper that's a great idea but with an OL that's not the greatest this seems like a pretty stupid move. I guess we'll see how it goes but it once again goes to prove that Gailey is too in love with the passing game for his own good.

Hopefully the 1st stringers "cough" Fitzpatrick "cough" do better tonight against the Vikes.

Re: Official Buffalo Bills Thread

They said that last year. And probably the year before. Whatever. Just win, baby.

Well, this is just...infuriating?

1) The best thing the team has going on for it on offence is Fred Jackson and (possibly) C.J. as a change of pace back...

2) It's easier for a mediocre / patchwork / young OL to run block than pass block

3) We don't even have a legit #2 WR at this point...we got a 2 at 1 (Johnson), a reach with Nelson at 3 and a bunch of 4's...

4) Since the team is supposed to be centered around the new defense, featuring the run will eat more clock and allow the D to be fresh...

Oh well, it kind of worked in the early part of last season...not so much later...cracked ribs, non withstanding...
