I listened to it on the radio but by the sounds of it Graham was not bad. Not great but made a couple catches. Ron Brooks made a nice play on a couple passes even picking one off. Not sure what to think about Lindell missing a 22 yard chip shot but the punt coverage played well downing many punts inside the 10. Though gailey had to challenge one of them because the refs were just dumb.

From the way it sounded they played half way decent but the RGIII Garçon combination was clicking against our first team. Didn't help that we didn't generate any sort of pass rush while he was on the field either.

He looked pretty good from what I could tell, although my stream wasn't that good. Seemed like he was open a decent amount, but Fitz/Thigpen/VY couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

Defense was very hit or miss. Dropped 3 or 4 INTs, Brooks had an INT, defensive line would get great penetration one play and then the next they'd get pushed back at least 5 yards on a run. Secondary let a lot of WRs get open from what I was seeing.

The offense just looked pitiful. I don't think they ran the ball a single play while Fitz was on the field and he was throwing the ball 5 yards short of WR's feet. Thigpen was even worse, and VY was only marginally better. He had a really nice run on a 3rd and 20 to pick up a 1st down though.

Edit: And Lindell missed a 22 yard field goal from straight away... The rookie kicker was kicking the ball out the back of the endzone on kickoffs.

Also, when Thigpen and VY took over, we got called for what seemed like a false start on every other play. I know they had 3 false starts in Thigpen's first 3 downs I believe.

Sloppy game. Play of the day was Scott Chandler going across the middle and catching a ball on his helmet in triple coverage. Fitz should not have thrown the ball though

I'm glad they're giving Smith a shot...

Doesn't sound like the other THREE played respectably...

As far as the blackout goes:

It's tough enough to get excited about watching pre season football, but on 24 hour tape delay?

Um...no thanks...

Re: Official Buffalo Bills Thread

I figure the defense is going to take a little time to fully gel considering the new personnel and Wannstedt being the new DC but the offense being that bad....Ay yi yi yi!

Hopefully the 1st team plays better next preseason game.

Re: Official Buffalo Bills Thread

Chad Johnson is available...

Any thoughts as to whether the Bills should take a run at signing him?

I (think I) would...

Chat, unlike T.O. has learned not to be a sideshow so yes I'd give him a shot with an incentive laden contract with no guarantee he makes the club. He'd be a good 3rd down guy to go to.
