Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread

It looks like they've FINALLY accepted that they need to rebuild, see what they've got to get ready for next year. Hankerson and Helu getting the start while Torrain getting almost no time and Stallworth getting cut makes that pretty clear, imo. With the big time injuries it's a good decision and I hope they stick to it.

I was watching Week 9 Sound FX on NFLN. Brian Oakpo was mic'ed up. Man, he almost lost it with the offense after the Austin fumble. He caught himself, but man the offense needs to put some points on the board and let the defense breath a bit.

What I don't understand is, this has been a never-ending story for you guys. I can't remember the last year your offense was a good offense. And, this is 'technically' better than the years previous, at least through the air.

IIRC 06-09 Skins passing offense was atrocious, and rushing carried you guys.

Why after all these years, have they not 'fixed' it? 'Skins have always had a 'championship' or maybe 'winning' level defense. Remember how analysts were saying Texans always had a 12-4 offense but a 4-12 defense? I think it's the opposite with Washington.

Washington always has a 12-4 type defense but a 2-14 type offense.

Look at our offensive coordinators and that should answer your question. Plus, look at we went after for players.

I think it all boils down to the most important position on the field. Quarterback, the Redskins do not have a franchise type QB, and it's been that way since who, Joe Theismann. Some would have said Jason Campbell, but I think the front office botched that whole situation.

I wasn't comfortable from the get go, with Grossman or Beck. I heard so many stories about how Shanahan couldn't pick personnel back when he ran the then Los Angeles Raiders, and it seems to be coming to past right before Redskins fans eyes.

The switch back to Rex just needed to happen. Beck didn't give the downfield throws a chance. To quick to hit his checkdown. Not saying he had time, but watching games you could see that he was mission throws down the field in favor of the dumpoff. Rex will still have a pick or two, but at least he will challenge the defensive backs to make some plays.

Thoroughly upset at the defensive calls made today. Why was the middle so wide open? Why didn't they force Moore to throw the ball outside the numbers. It seemed like all his completions were to the middle of the defense. Haslett and Co. didn't do a good job using Moore's weakness' against him IMO.

MeAngelo Hall shouldn't have been allowed on the plane after that piss poor tackle attempt on Bush and it's not the first time he's done that crap either.
