Yeah, but he can fix that in training camp and pre-season

Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread

For the person that said Brandon Banks wouldn't be on the team next year...is so wrong, Shanny loves the guy, he gave us spark last year on punt and kickoffs returns, if it wasn't for them yellow flags he might've been on the probowl. I would like to see him more on offense though, we ran the wildcat with him last year and had success with it the one time we ran it.. Dude is a spark

no im not Pack. See point below about taking time to contend

lol just brought it up as an interesting little connection, but I doubt that will be the deciding factor. Kyle has some pull im sure, but I doubt he is at the top of the totem pole when it comes to making personnel decisions.

perhaps both. VY knows Orakpo as well

speaking of defensive captains. One of VY's most vocal supporters over the last couple of seasons and after the stuff went down with Fisher was Tulloch. He was the Titans defensive captain and didnt have to worry about going in any doghouse. Anyway,...

seriously? comon Pack. He's still a threat but he's not near the same explosive McNabb that we all saw in Philly. Im not scared of him anymore as a Cowboys fan. When he was with the Eagles, I was.

exactly what i was saying above.and when they do, McNabb will probably be all the way done. It makes sense to bring in guys like Grossman, VY, and other QBs to compete at the position and look towards the future.

lol for cripes sake the great Jeff Fisher is everywhere. im sure we havent heard the end of Fisher's agenda rearing it's head.
1. Grossman is a FA anyway(whenever FA kicks back up)so it really isn't about improving the group, even though before the Lockout there were rumors coming out about bringing him back on a one year deal to compete with Beck, who the Coaches have spoke highly of since last year. Why? Who knows to be honest but they must see something in the dude that nobody else sees to give him a 2 year extension as a 3rd String QB.

2. If they were looking towards the future, what sense would it make to bring in Grossman if he wasn't gonna be back the following year anyway? Why not go with the dude who you JUST gave an extension to and let him get through his growing pains right now.

3. We're on the same page there.

4. Orakpo is definitely not a leader. The only true leader on the team is Fletcher really because of the fact, he's the most proven dude on that Defense and because he isn't afraid to get in any of the players face regardless of who it is and how much they make. Now could Orakpo step up and possibly become one this year? Possibly but I'd put the chances of that happening right now at about 15-20%.

5. Don't care as it has no relevance here, really.

6. Of course he's not a threat or is the same QB he was in Philly, who ever said he was? LOL. But ask anybody here that watched him play his entire time here and ask them why they thought McNabb struggled here and I guarantee Physical Issues will be the LAST thing mentioned, if it even is. Again, anybody with 2 eyes could tell you that O-Line was the issue(as it was the year before)but of course that's what you get when have a Rookie starting at one side and when you give up a 2nd round pick for a guy fresh off of Offseason Hip Surgery.

7. See point 1.

8. I guess. I just figured I'd throw that out there since you brought up the fact that Vince Young and Little General were teammates at UT.

Either way, nobody has really proven that Washington is the BEST fit for him(if anybody can make the case I'd love to hear it), which again especially how he dealt with the media in TN and if he can't deal with them, then he DAMN sure won't be able to handle the media here. If anything, he might as well go the T.O route and go to Buffalo where he Fs up there, nobody outside of there is really going to care or pay much attention to it really.

And Chec, dudes like Banks are a dime a dozen and you can find guys like him anywhere on the street. He ain't nothing special at all, but people just hype him up because he wasn't doing the same crap Randle El did back there, which is just dance around for 20 seconds just to get 3 yards.

Nobody hasn't made a point why he isn't a fit either so I guess we'll leave it at that and see what happens when free agency opens up..

Except for innacuracy, immaturity, overly sensitive, slack work ethic, pourous offensive line, below average WR, suspect running game, suspect offensive coordinator and a coach who threw his last QB under the bus rather that publicly criticize his son.
