He'd be a great addition for whatever they'd have to give up for him. Hope they get it done. This year's a wash for the skins pretty much so his 4 game vacation won't have much of an impact. Jackson's got a bright future.

Yes, I am all for Vincent Jackson being a redskin. That said, I think in the long run having a 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick would serve us better seeing that we will be in the market for at least a RB, MLB, DE, FS, QB (for the future), OT, OG and potentially NT in the next two seasons.

What are you assuming the cost of VJ would be? I haven't heard anything. Brian Mitchell put out a suggested offer of LJ, Kelley and a 3rd rounder. I think that'd be a good deal. I agree that VJ is only good at the right price.

Just like it was asked when McNabb was acquired, I'm going to ask the same question for this one as well: I wonder what the reaction would be if Vinny was still here?

I honestly feel like SD would enter into talks knowing that in the past Washington has undervalued draft picks and could probably walk out of there with either a 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 3rd based on Vincent Jackson's ability to pass Snyders "eye-test"

I never thought about trading away players, but I think adding Kelly would lighten that, but I'm sure SD would target Thomas over Kelly. I know I would.

They can ask but Snyder's not negotiating so I don't see a 1st and 3rd or anything like that happening. I also think Kelley would be more appealing considering his height (Chargers love big WRs). He's still got as much potential as Thomas, minus the injury concerns and Thomas proving it on the field (in terms of the Skins I have more confidence in Thomas bc of what we've seen, but Kelley should still have value since he hasn't played rather than hasn't performed).

Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread

while i'd like to see this get done, i just don't see it happening. call it a hunch, and i hope i am wrong, but just can't see it. i don't think the 'skins are that team anymore, the one that just gives away draft picks like candy on halloween. if they COULD get him for a 2nd and a 3rd, i'd jump all over it, but i doubt s.d. will make any deal that doesn't include at least 1 first rounder...

Re: Washington Redskins Official Thread

Aquiring Vincent Jackson would be a good pick up but I do not see SD trading him at this point.
