Luther Maddy and Brandon Facyson were already out for the season at that point, and Kendall Fuller was playing with a broken arm. You guys did a number on us, no doubt. Duke Johnson went ham and we couldn't get him under control. But we only had 260 yards of offense. Defense can't be on the field the whole game without scoring support.

Fair point. They have had their share of poor games, though usually it was due to the complete lack of an offense. Consider they ranked 17th in the nation in defense last year, 14th against the pass. Not top 10 numbers, but they did with the 99th ranked offense, so they were on the field all of the time with no help.

More importantly, they returned everyone of note. You make a good point on the lack of all americans (though Kendall Fuller was one). If the goal is to only make All-Americans in the 90's, then I don't have much of an argument with the ratings on the d-line. Dadi Nicolas is a preseason 4th team All-America in Phil Steele though, if that counts for something. Kendall Fuller is a 1st team All-American, and Bucky Hodges is a 3rd team All American. I know he is just one pre-season prognosticator, but he's not the only one who thinks these are elite caliber players.

I would rather focus on getting the right players in the game than have a debate about ratings. It's tough to be too adament about VT's ratings when they had the terrible year they had last year. However, it is difficult to judge based on just the one Miami game, because judging on one game goes both ways... as Ohio State what they think of VT's defense!

Keep up the good work, I look forward to seeing the finished product.

Alright I can dig that...Noil / Reynolds / Garrett it is. I think Carson could potentially show out and deserve the 3rd spot over 1 of the WRs, we'll see if he gets the carries.

A couple notes on your Kansas corrections...


I originally had Cummings as a SR and took him off the depth chart so that he would RS and get his "sixth" year of eligibility. Not sure who changed that, but good catch there.


Millweard is in fact a RS JR, not a JR like you have listed. He played his FR year at UCLA before transferring and sitting out his second year and he played last year.


The official roster lists him as "Jayson" Rhodes, but from what I can tell he goes by "Jay." His twitter handle is @jayrhodes74 and his name on there is listed as Jay Rhodes.

Western Michigan CB Darius Phillips SO (RS) is really just underrated altogether as a player (last I looked 72 OVR - I'd go more like 77-78 OVR)

-Needs 95+ RET skill, 14th in country last year and ranked FWAA All-Freshman KR of the year (http://www.sportswriters.net/fwaa/ne...ica150114.html)
-Should be much faster, he's a speedster and Head Coach says he's fastest on entire team (94-95 range)
-Switching from WR (had 32 catches last year) to CB where he looked great in spring game - going to still be used at WR some this year, so CTH++
