I suspect that while these numbers are officially "retired" they are still used... and no one has chosen to wear #20 this soon after he left...

I just hope guys doing research for this thread know that there is a difference between a number being retired and a players jersey being retired.

Example
Va Tech:
#7 Michael Vick jersey is retired

#7 is still used

I think its the same for Alabama as well with #12 and Joe Namath

Because guys like me are using this info LOL

A word of advice: There is a difference in a retired number and an honored number (Ring of Honor, Number on the stadium, etc.) Some of the numbers being posted are not officially retired. Just sayin'.
