I only just noticed the Boozer is the new Doctor J stuff....that's some seriously messed up player "realism" right there.

As Dre has said for years now...we just shouldn't be seeing Andrew Bynumm crossovers and Emeka Okafor draining 20 foot Js.....this series just has no idea about real player tendencies. It's just completely generic.

LIVE 10 was the first time the series has looked to at least be 'getting' on track. These vids suggest it's right off the rails again.

I am tired of paying $60 for this thing based on "next year we'll get it right". I won't be getting it this season unless the demo is exceptional...and that seems very unlikely based on these vids.

We have yet to see any tendencies in action, everything released so far has been user controlled including the quick clips. So let's take a step back, relax and wait until we see the Cpu in action before we bash the game.

I understand there isn't much faith right now, but we can't say for sure until we see it. Wait for some User v Cpu or the demo. That's what I'm trying to do anyway.

EA basektball is basically the LA Clippers......disaster after disaster mixed in with the odd ray of sunlight where you think "hey, maybe this is going to turn around". LIVE 10 was one of those "hey, maybe this thing is going to be amazing by next season" moments. Then they dismissed the whole team / brought in new guys / started over again etc etc etc.

Crazy stuff. These vids scream "new team, give us a couple of seasons to get it right"....................and man, there's just no way people are going to give them time after being told to "wait" season after season. I've bought this series since Lakers v Celtics and it's kind of sad to see it degenerate to the point where it's become a bad joke to be honest.

Re Da_Czar's question earlier in the thread "what if this was the only game?"......if this was the only game, I'd be about to give up on NBA gaming to be honest. It's been dissapointing to see so little progress for this series on the next gen platforms. You can still see mess in those vids that's been there since the first LIVE on PS3 (which was a disaster). When I look at FIFA, MADDEN etc.....it's just ridiculous to see how poorly the NBA series is doing in comparison.

That's what people say every season man...and it always fails.

I don't care if it's the user or CPU...no way in hell Carlos Boozer should be able to dunk from the free throw line and no way in hell the non user controlled CPU defenders should all be pushed aside and walking around like headless chicken. That stuff has been there for years and the vids show it clearly still there.

You guys are freaking out way too much...and the people here hating are a joke...you know what is the only way to know if the game is for you or not? Wait for the demo and then play it a few times...until then I think it's funny to look at some low resolution shaky videos and say "this game sucks"...yes you can tell it will not be a perfect game but I personally cannot look at videos online and know whether I will like a game or not...

Man, Im not a ***** but those videos really do just look BAD. The way the guys are kinda hunched over and slip and slide around on the perimeter is just ugly. The jumpshots look weird, the balls travels to fast, The passing looks bad, even the physics stuff looks sloppy.

I think EA picked the wrong year to gamble on a new system, I dont see why anyone would get this over the other game at this point.

Honestly, I have publicly voiced my concern about My main man Hockey Dude holding the reigns ... But I would just like to see them finish a 3 year plan to see what happens. Seriously. The constant reboots are getting tiresome. Plus there are some really really talented and dedicated individuals over there. The suits needs to give them leeway to try and complete some sort of vision.

If they really base this concept off of user feedback and not just a desire to remove all animations just to say you can have absolute control then they won't be painted into a corner and can concern themselves with making the best most realistic playing game. As opposed fulfilling a marketing manifesto.

In life I have rarely found the answer to complex issues in extremes. Its usually somewhere near the middle where synergy is the strongest. You mix some of these controls with a dash of reality where it makes sense ( Jumping to challenge shots for example with not gather) and now your cooking.

IMHO of course. also great points the last few posts gentlemen ( shadows, live 4 real, mr court vision etc ). This is the OS get's down !

Re: NBA Elite 11 Videos and Impressions From the Boost Mobile Elite 24 Event

Hey guys sorry for the lack of communication...we're finalling the game at the moment and putting in some pretty crazy hours. Novell is working on some high quality user cpu 5v5 video to provide some perspective on a) some of this year's AI changes and b) how the game looks with someone who knows the controls at the helm. The footage has to go through the appropriate channels so I can't give you a date for their release, but I'm watching him record now.

I confirmed that the build is several weeks old - a lot of tuning to the overall visual look of gameplay went in in the last two weeks of the project. That's not to say all issues people are seeing are going to be addressed by any means, but this is definitely a year where you need to get the game in your hands.

That vid really doesn't look all that realistic or great, but I'm still leaning toward buying it instead of the other boring looking hoop game, cuz i need something new. Aslo I'm a control freak and I just have to be in complete control....it is a video game right?
