Why did EA change two of their features last year as far as control?

The pick and roll on the left trigger is WAY superior than the B button. Mostly because you can actually use the right stick to make moves while the screen is set.

And why again did they change from a two-button shot system to a one-button scheme? The two-button system guaranteed that a user would shoot the shot he wanted to shoot 100% of the time. No excuses. Now, we might shoot layups when we want a jump shot or vice versa.

And hell, on top of that, why did they insert the forced step-back on fadeaways on the move? A step-back BUTTON may have worked better... hmm? Good idea IMO...

I gotta say this is one thing that annoys me with Live.. they don't give new schemes time to evolve

BUT

the 1 button shooting is not a problem at all, i actually feel like i have alot more options this year with the shooting.

Shoot button = layup.
Shoot button + turbo = dunk.

Wow, that's really hard, and totally more confusing than having one button for dunk and one button for layup..

You're clutching now. The control scheme is fine and works well.
