Says that FIFA 11 will run on low settings at 55fps. Not good. I don't know whether or not it'll play or not. I mean, it'll play, but won't look nearly as good as a console even.

NBA 2k11 running on it, will give you a good idea of what to expect.
Will it be good for NBA 2k12. That is the only game I am really concerned about right now.
I dont want to buy it and regret it.
That youtube vid is good enough for me.

Re: Switched to PC - WOW

there should be a few numbers after the HP 2000, maybe 3 numbers and 2 letters or something. The only reason I ask, some systems perform much better than others, even with the same specifications.

To be honest though, I don't think you'll be happy with it. It will look worse than the 360 and PS3 versions and less fluid.

I dont see any other numbers or letters.
If it is going to look worser than XBox and PS3 then I wont get it then.
I was looking forward to it though.

After thinking about it, I will still get it.
I play games on someone elses game console because my PS3 no longer reads Blu-ray discs. I am tired of playing when I HAVE to not when I want to.
If I still had my PS2 I would play it.

As far as controller how would I go about it. I dont have a wired 360 controller

Steam has a free trial weekend for a game called "Sanctum". You could download Sanctum for free and see how it runs on your laptop. This should give you some idea how your PC will perform.

Sanctum system requirements:
OS: Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista or Windows 7
Processor: 2.0+ GHz Core 2 Duo
Memory: 2 GB
Hard Disk Space: 2 GB free hard drive space
Video Card: Shader Model 3 – compatible video card
DirectX®: 9.0c or higher
Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible, 16-bit

NBA 2K12 (recommended) System requirements:
CPU: 3 GHz Dual Core processor or equivalent
RAM: 2 GB
GFX: Nvidia Geforce 7900 GT / AMD equivilant
GFX RAM: 512MB with Shader Model 3.0 support

As for your controller... I would check Google/YouTube to see if there is some way to use your remote X-Box/PS3 controller with your PC. If that fails, you can run out to Wall-Mart and pick up a cheap wired X-Box/PS3 type controller
