Re: Need Trade Input: NO Hornets

Love the input so far guys. I definitely agree with the Rondo point now...it was just the optimistic UK fan in me trying to pair up Rondo and Davis. I also love the idea to pair up Paul George and Davis. I tried doing something similar last year because of EG being the hometown kid from Indiana.

However, if I do bring in George he would be a SF (his natural position)for me.
The swap makes sense, instead of George playing out of position on the Pacers he moves over to the 3 and EG can be the 2 when Granger is the 3. However, idk if a straight up swap would work, because of value and salaries

Well make the salaries add up lol. Sounds like Indy would have to package another player if you're saying EG has a ridiculous contract, which also means you may have to give up another piece, possibly Vasquez or however you spell his name. The trade might look something like

Gordon, Vasquez and Aminu (or Henry)

For

George and Augustin

??

You would have to sign an SG via free agency, Tracy McGrady is out there.

I def don't see hornets giving up on eg since they kept suns from picking him up but the george trade is more realistic because it helps the pacers and as long as both teams benefit in the videogame im for it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought if a team like the suns offered a contract to a RFA. The current team had x amount of days till atleast match the offer or just let him walk to the new team for his new contract.

The Hornets matching the offer to keep him, could have just been because they didn't want him to walk without them receiving any sort of compensation...??

That trade was unrealistic as hell but it somehow went through. Rondo isn't all that unrealistic considering he has been considered a headache for years and hasn't exactly gotten along with Doc. I really don't believe he is untouchable, the C's would do it for the right price. Not to mention their future at PG is already on the roster (Bradley)

Believe me I agree. It's not like I wouldn't be getting anything back from either the C's or a third party. If I gave up Gordon I would be looking to add Courtney Lee, specifically.
You clearly don't watch celtics basketball.

Going to try out Augustin and George for EG and Aminu. Have to see if the contracts match up

Re: Need Trade Input: NO Hornets

I'm playing the Hornets in MyCareer mode (year 2) and I agree they are a young fun team to play with.
I'm a fast pass 1st PG with descent shots, so i'm ok at PG.

But there r a ton of young good PGs in the game, so PG shouldn't be a problem if you we really wanna trade for one.
hell J. Flynn is FA in the base rosters.
Vasquez is a cheap descent stop-gap or #2.

a rebuilding team shouldn't be trying to trade for a big star like Rondo in the 1st place IMO.

Love P George, but he's due a big payday in 2 years. not sure he's gonna resign again.

EG is definately expensive but he's been a scoring beast for me.
also this team has absolutely NO inside presence, but tons of outside shooting bigs. So I play mainly P&Rs.
.
If i was playing the franchise mode, I'd try and trade EG + R.Anderson for draft picks and expiring contracts if you wanna free up cap space and rebuild.
since cap space isn't a big issue, (you're rebuilding, not looking to sign big FAs anytime soon), i'd just keep EG for now (u can trade him few years later) and just get rid of Anderson and useless Warrick.

btw, some fun young rebuilding teams to try out IMO are
philly, char, mlwk, NO, Sac, Denv, Hous, Minn.
some are stronger as is Now than others.
