NBA 2K12 Developer Insight #5 - My Player

Being someone who spent an absurd amount of time in 2k11 My Player, I almost shed a tear of joy and excitement after reading this.

anyway...this insight was ok...i wish they would've spent more time talking about the gameplay and AI improvements to my player, rather than all the cosmetic and superficial stuff like advertisements....i appreciate their attention to detail and all, but all i really want from my basketball games are good AI and good gameplay...the cosmetic and presentation aspects are just trivial fluff to me.

The insight is great and all but I'd stop playing my player in 2k12 if this remains the same

But they somewhat addressed it in the insight so im hoping...

I hope that we can finally have My Players with good lineups and *gasp* waves....

Other than that, I PRAY TO GOD, that this time there is no difficulty setting,but instead EVERY PLAYER IN THE NBA PLAYS EXACTLY LIKE THEIR REAL LIFE COUNTERPART. No more Tony Parker doing postups on power forwards and coring just beucase I'm playing HOF.

I'm really liking the abilities set up and I know most people will only be interested in the offensive abilities/skills but I really hope there are special defensive abilities/skills... Blocking, Rebounding, Boxing Out. For Example Rebounding Ability would give you that edge when fighting for it, like Kevin Love you see yourself wrestling to grab the ball even if it means tipping it up in the air again and going for it again.

Everybody enjoys scoring points and making flashy plays but very few enjoy trying to shut people down and I feel there isn't enough attention put on defense.. hopefully some of you agree!!
