Czar... excuse my ignorance, but how are you getting a first look at the game?

Always appreciate your insight, keep up the good work.

I hope in 2K11 the top defenders guard the elite offensive players. For example if Magic is playing the Lakers the lineups are:

Magic

PG Nelson
SG Carter
SF Pietrus
PF Lewis
C Howard

Lakers

PG Fisher
SG Kobe
SF Artest
PF Gasol
C Bynum

Even though Kobe and Vince start at SG, I don't want to see the AI CPU Vince guard Kobe. It should be Pietrus(SF) guarding Kobe(SG).

This happens in real life because:

-Pietrus is a much better defender than Carter.

-Stars generally don't guard the other teams star(s) because they don't want to get in foul-trouble.

Can you shed any light on this Czar?
I second this question. It would be nice to know the AI adjusts defensive matchups or even offensive line ups depending on what the opponent throws. Cross match ups in short.

Like for example:

- Monta Ellis and Steph Curry to be countered with Stuckey and Will Bynum (3 guard line ups for up tempo teams).
- Artest (SF) guards Manu (SG) since Kobe conserves his energy on offense.
- Kobe (SG) guards Westbrook or Rondo (PG) since DFish is a bit slow and old for flashy guards.

Goffs my honest answer here is I don't now. That is the sort of thing that would drive me up the wall. So the fact that I don't remember it happening tell's me its fixed. Unfortunately the only footage I have with me on a mismatch has gasol doing exactly what you said... Hmmmm

I really don't think it was an issue overall but I'm not going to say it wasn't because I just can remember a specific instance where I blew by a big.. When I get my copy though I will definitely look into it. Wish I had something more definitive for you.

In the games I played and watched cpu vs cpu I never saw pip higher than half of total points. Even teams that went inside a lot still scored most of their points outside the paint.

The cpu AI defense is really really good this year. They help you play the passing lanes and play very very good pick and roll defense. that combined with the improved plays really makes a difference. Now mind you Czar is no cheeser so I didn't come down a lead pass a million times or anything crazy. But my cpu teamates defend the lead pass very well.

And another thing too with the half court offense being revamped the cpu no longer has to use the Ol' i need a bucket lets go back door play.. YOU know what I'm talking about...LOL

There are lots of fouls depending on how you play. If your a jump shooting team there are not going to be a lot of fouls. There is a lot of contact in the painted area. I regularly saw Freethrows as high as 20 depending on the teams and the pace

No excuses needed. You just haven't heard my theme song... I'm the Czar, I'm the Czar, I'm the Czar, I'm the Czar.... (that's how) ROTFLO. Guys who watched the old shows should get that one...

I think even when you shoot a lot of jumpshots(I personally do because its too easy to drive and dunk in 2K10) more fouls will occur naturally in 2K11.

The reason is because 2K11 added off-ball fouls and moving screens. This was stated in Beluba's Tweet. When all these little fouls get added, teams will get to the line more because they will be in the bonus penalty(5 fouls in one quarter).

Czar when you played did you witness off-ball fouls or moving screens? Perhaps they added in a later build if you didn't encounter any.

Also can you please answer post #90?

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

@bearschicago

I have also asked Da_Czar in Twitter about that and he already responded.

@domidomdomz I don't think so not on purpose just in transition.

Yeah. Off-ball and Illegal screens are definitely nice additions. Seeing guys warranted for offensive fouls due wrong use of screens is a thing of delight.

Ahhhh that sucks. Looks like elite defenders will be guarding the wrong player at times which totally defeats the purpose of having an elite defender!
