Not when your moving at fast break speed. Touching it high off the glass is safer. Done all the time in real ball.

dunno about that...can't say a lot of players try to lay it up off the top of the backboard? it's a lot less accurate. i'd say rondo does it the most but it's definitely not ideal on a normal layup.

and sorry, it might not have been in the specific video in the first post but what i was talking about definitely happened in the other videos that are out there.

Love the weight of players. Jumpers look so much better than last year.

Still disappointed to see the same fast break/transistion logic. This was the area (along with advanced playbooks) that I wanted to see improved the most.

This thread is hilarious

So far it's been

First leaked vid = (negative), word gets out its not on sim setting = (negative) People start defending the game = (negative), Pared and others start defending the game = (negative) More vids start leaking = (positive), More vids = (positive), Mike W chimes in again as does Da Wolf = (positive).

OS is so funny this time of year and it happens every year.

Game looks great to me, presentation is phenomenal and I can't wait to get my greedy little mits on the demo.

Didn't say the 'top of the backboard', but plenty leave it on the top corner of the box. *Shorter* guys tend to put it higher on the glass when defenders are around.

I do agree however that where Chalmers put it off the glass in that video was mighty high, having looked at it again.

I wish 2k had some animations where the player is up high and his hand is close enough to the rim where he could just slam it home, but decides to just drop it in softly... with no backboard.

In the old 2k games way back in the day, The layups never used the backboard. lol I used to come on these boards like in 2004 and complain, asking for more backboard layups.
