Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread

I still can't resolve my stutter issues when crossing halfcourt, but I played the game on 360 last night and it's hands down a better experience.

The controls simply don't work on PC like they do on the 360. I tried with the Microsoft 360 driver and XBCD. Players also teleport and glitch a lot more on PC.

I just got this for pc, and I'm running it through parallel and it is just atrocious. I have the newest macbook pro and even on the lowest setting for everything it still stutters as soon as pre-game presentation starts. Is there a fix for this?

Try running it through bootcamp. Running it through parallels isn't exactly resource efficient since it is a virtual session of windows inside Mac OSX

I'm getting a mix of both. There are people that have modest hardware running it at 60 FPS and people with similar hardware getting crappy performance. To me, that's a software issue. Coupled with the fact that the console counterparts are having framerate hiccups points more fingers at the true culprit, which is the game itself.

You don't need a $3000 computer to run the latest and greatest games. And gaming is way more GPU intensive than CPU intensive. It's your videocard that's going to have the greatest impact on performance for most games out there.

when i try to install the game on windows7 x64 RTM, there is a message saying compatibility issue with microsoft framework 1.1. should i just go ahead and run it because the game won't install unless that is also.

Is there an .ini file to tweak (use more cpu cores, etc) this year?

Yes. If you have any more issues just go to the official 2k forums. There's a whole section devoted to the PC version of 2k10 and there are several threads related to Windows 7 compatibility.
