I always play with the player lock option so it would be awesome if they included the feature that shows you exactly where to go during a play regardless if you have the ball or not. I think NBA2K8 had this feature but only showed the play diagram if you were the point guard.

What I was hoping for
1) END OF GAME INBOUND PLAY INTENSITY!!!! This game plays great until the final two minutes....Need to make calling a timeout and running an inbound play for a possible game winner feel like it should. Players sprinting to spots on the floor, defenders over playing the ball....etc I cannot stress how important this is!

2) Some update to the coaches/strategy(hiring coaches changes the teams style and also changes how often a team doubles the post, how they play the pick n roll and their primary sets....along with the ability to create/edit coaches!!)

3) Better Create a player and team!

This sounds interesting. I wonder if the player DNA feature is going to include what we all wanted in the player customization thread awhile back. Would be nice!

All these new features are nice, but what I am HOPING for are the inclusion of the luxury tax(one that actually allows your team to go over the CAP in order to keep your players...) and a REAL WORKING MLE that you can split up among players like in REAL life. Last year w/ my C's (I'm a REAL fan...not a band wagon rider BTW) I basically stopped my association after one year b/c I could not sign half of my free agents and it bothered me b/c I knew that the C's would at least retain the majority of it's players and spend the extra cash on the luxury tax.

Basically the game was not realistic at that point for me (in terms of the salary cap, MLE etc..). If this is fixed, then I will be a pretty happy gamer. Also, I'm wishing for a D-League (already stated in this thread) and a career mode of some sort, just like the RTTS in MLB The Show. I play mostly w/ player lock on, and it is fun, but I think it would be cool to have an RPG element to it and build yourself up in terms of attributed and things of that nature.

Oh and can we get more money to actually hire the best of the best in terms of scouting and coaches? I mean, most teams (I would think anyway) would pay to hire the best talent evaluators and the best coaches. Is there a team out there that would actually hire a scrub for a coach, when for a couple more million a year(can't remember the difference really in terms of pay on 2K8), they could have the cream of the crop.

Those things change or get adjusted, and I'm going to be on my viral marketing game on behalf of 2K9! 1
