Here's an idea. to prepare yourselves for the 5-on-5 thing why don't you guys make a thread. Players write up their tendencies, if they are a team player or prefers to hog the ball more. then you guys can choose people that will suit your team

i dunno...

on a side note all those features seem promising

I'm pumped for 5 on 5. I don't care what role I play. I'd be happy being the defense and rebounder cleaning up the garbage underneath or running some pick and pops.

Man I want to know how they will choose who will play WHICH position. Imagine 5 random cheese dudes in the lobby picking the Cavs. Oh my god man. We really need spectator mode because I will LOVE to see that foolishness.

Re: NBA 2K9 Features List *Updated

A day after I make my post in the 2K9's wishlist thread. They already knocked off two of my biggest problems, the lack of depth in association mode, and the sorry NBA championship celebration. The 5 on 5 does sound ill, just thinking about all the possibilities and different kind of scenarios has me hyped, but remember it takes one person out of the bunch to lag the game.

Now what 2K needs to do is show the PS3 folks some love, and give them access to the league sites.

What I'm wondering now is how do they plan on filling the void that CHoops left? This game should be packed with content since their not working on releasing another basketball game a few months after NBA 2K9.

I'm HAPPY!! I wasn't sure I'd pick up this game but I'm looking more at getting this sucker AND an XBOX Live Gold account. I've seen the promises before though. I'm just looking forward to execution. If the CAPS are solid, if the Association is top notch, and the teams play differently instead of just the same, then I'm a fan. Now that I'm working days, I'd even be down for a nice run with some of you OS guys. Definitley wouldn't mind getting taught more about the plays. Best way to learn is to get beat over and over right.......

VC void was filled with NHL2K9. We also dont know who is developing MLB2k9 as well, Its either Visual Concepts or Blue Castle.

Re: 2k9 Features

As I've been playing with my the other 3 friends for ONE year on NBA 2K8
(with 4 controllers, 2vs2 or 4vsCPU)
I have obligation to tell you guys what might happen for a 5vs5 game.

No doubt this is a great feature, playing with other 4 human users in the same team, if it's not I would'nt be doing it for one year.
But even if you want to play sim game, it will still be difficult for 5 person to communicate on the court. So when 10 man running on the court without knowing what other teammates going to do, it will be hard to play a sim game.

Even if you and your four friends have discussed how you are going to play sim, as long as your opponent run like crazy, or cheese like lots people did, a sim game will not happen either.

I guarantee, you will enjoy 5 users VS 5 Adaptive AI more than playing with another 5 users.
And the system has to calculate the stats and efficiency for each user and add the number to the ranking system. So a guy playing Fisher with all his heart can still have better efficiency than a louzy Kobe.
