Do people miss the OLD 2k before the Badges?

2k14 had it right. I think you were limited to 3 personality badges and 7 signature skills. So much better than the trash we have now. People don't even try to be good at the game, just grind for the best badges.

But he's speaking facts. 2k is just adding all these as a way to get people to buy even more VC. They get expensive as hell and everyone else has em, so guys buy em to be able to keep up. I don't know how that's a 2 week ban.

I totally agree with Goffs, Dirk and DC. The badges in and of themselves are fine but they have to be more judicious with them. 2K seems to have gone overboard with them. Regular NBA players have way too many. I picked 2K14 for the PS4 up last week for a few bucks at GS. LeBron, at the peak of his powers physically and mentally only had 7 skill badges. One of them was the LeBron exclusive coast to coast badge to go along with 3 personality badges. This is an all time great generational player. I'm fine with that. But now even average NBA players have 10 badges. For those rare players with exceptional skill like Curry with the deep 3; give him that special badge. I like having them all at our disposal for ML and stuff but 2K seems to have gone way in the other direction. Time to dial it back, IMO.

The quality of gameplay has literally fallen off a cliff this year. If Live was ever to take over this franchise now would be the time.

I agree with a lot of people in that the theory of badges is awesome, but in some cases the execution is a bit wonky. Hard to really fix it for both online and offline play.

I'm not sure if this is relevant but I think maybe making badges be less powerful and actual ratings being a bit more realistic could help dramatically. I truly think there are a lot of NBA players in game that are really overrated and I think that adds to the lack of individuality of players overall. Badges might be a way to really make guys stand out. Also badges are misplaced in the 2K roster, imo.
