Youd prob see me batshiet crazy for popping this one up...
I am simulating again in 2k20 and there are several issues I find unbeatable:
1) double teams in post and on dominant players on perimeter - this just breaks the defence
2) AI being retharded in PNR defence no matter the sliders (i really tried everything) - anthony davis keeps iceing curry and providing the paint to anyone who wants an open layup
3) cutters are unstoppable - AI just plays to tight offball in corners (user defensive settings get overriden after 1st timeout) and its an easy layup in most cases. They especially play moronic defense against 5out setups and double screens on perimeter! They keep opening up the paint even when you set PROTECT THE PAINT in teams Point of emphasis. Even when you put ZONE DEFENSE slider to 100.
4) AI just doesnt understand when to shoot and when to pass. Many times they are totally smothered on a layup and just refuse to dish the ball.
Even after setting DISH tendency high, layup tend low, finnish tendency low, editing SHOTIQ atrribute etc...
5) Sliders seem to not work, especially for close shots, under the basket and attack the rim...
Theres more but these are the biggest obstacles.
It is an arcade game, no way to make a sim out of it.
I give up and advise anyone else who tries the same to do the same. You just waste your time and energy and develop a strong OCD!
