I'd rather have the players wearing parkas and snow skis with perfect gameplay than perfect uniforms and forced to spend weeks trying to figure out a slider set to get the game to play right.
Getting decidedly non-obscure colors and uni details generally correct should not be a particularly labor intensive process. It's not really a computing power hog or something that requires a lot of advanced progamming to pull off unlike many of the graphics and animation upgrades, most of which have zero impact on gameplay, that the team has clearly devoted significant resources to these past couple years. It's not an 'either this or that' situation when it comes to getting little details correct unlike, for example, the way the team has said that implementing accurate collisions and a more thorough replay system would limit their ability to make more meaningful upgrades to the game.

Honestly, you can develop a relatively primitive looking game that still gets uni and stadium details perfectly accurate and has super realistic gameplay. PYS on PS3 is an example of this and apparently so is the mod community MVP Baseball on PC (never played that one myself). I happen to play a game called Tennis Elbow on PC and while it looks like a PS2 game (and that might be being generous tbh) it is completely immersive thanks to its spot on gameplay and the mod community's eye for detail.

I didn't watch any franchise menu footage from this video because I didn't watch it, but did they make any mention about improvements for the radio highlight show?

It was a bit hard to follow during the second half after Ramone became involved but I remember Kirby saying something about not having gotten to talk about everything he wanted to near the end of the stream. Not sure if the radio highlight show was an aspect mentioned there and I don't think they talked about it elsewhere during the stream.

Edit: I see what you did there... lol

Lets get back on topic once again please. From here on out, if it is not about presentation or commentary it is getting deleted. Do it again and you are the proud winner of a week off from OS.

That's not how game development works at all. The character team just works on faces (head-scans), bodies, uniforms, equipment and CAP. They have nothing to do with gameplay. And their work doesn't effect gameplay or the resources involved with it at all.

Thanks for the confirmation, it's a shame you have to keep saying the same thing to the same people over and over again.

Wouldnt it be great if the radio highlight show had Soup, Wonder Dog, Psycho and Karros doing radio bits?

lol I can see the SDS office wastebaskets now, not getting emptied because the cleaning crew was too busy working on rosters and lineups.

I want to use theme 1 and 2 occasionally so MLBN will stay fresh but its going to be impossible to give up Showcast to do that.
