I haven't been through this entire thread so this may have been mentioned already...but the one addition that I would like to see is pitch framing. Not just the catcher moving the glove but I would like to see more "physics" when the ball hits the glove rather than just staying in one place. Small things excite me...clearly

Has anyone mentioned personal catchers and pickoff sliders for pitchers?

Example would be Ross always playing when Lester pitched. Also, Lester horrible pickoff tenacies so getting big leads or steals was easier against him?

YES. I remember the old 2K games used to nail ratings like this. They had a number rating for every position, basically how good the person was there, and they had a pickoff rating as well as a call game rating as well. These things need to come back. Those games had a LOT of great things that made it just plain more fun to play. Gesture pitching, etc.

This gonna sound small and picky, but I really hope they improve/darken the color of the grass. To me, particularly on wide shots, the grass color and texture looks painted on and almost a neon green. I feel like they made the color extra light just to show off the grass field patterns, or maybe it's an issue of the game not being able to handle the graphics (FIFA 15 on last-gen is like that).

1. Re-branding of Teams. It adds such a fresh feel when you can take a team and give them new logos/uniforms/colors. Especially for those that play multi year franchises

2. Scouting Info on your next opponent. Baseball is a game of series and it would be awesome if The Show made it where you could see how a team is doing at the moment, projected lineups, injury reports, strengths and weakness. Things along this line.

3. Custom Advertisements. Allow users to upload ads for different companies for signs around your ball park.

4. The Addition of Bench Coaches and a system where you can hire coaches from other teams for promotions. Like if the Padres fire their manager they can talk to the Rangers and hire one of their coaches to be the new manager.

5. In-season contract extensions for players/staff

6. Non-Roster Invitees

7. Expanded Replay
Great post dran. Solid ideas....really like #3- 5 - 7, but all good suggestions.

Fix the commentary... lately when I have been playing every time a ground ball goes up the middle they say its off the CF wall even if the 2B was able to get to the ground ball...

1. Team re-branding
2. Ability to turn off retired numbers
3. Generic old school stadiums or ability to create your own stadium

All would be great for those of us who only play with classic rosters

Re: Thoughts for MLB 16 the Show (offline)

1) Custom schedules. Gets a little tiring playing the same teams over and over. Would love, in the offseason, to create your schedule for the following year (have criteria that teams must meet but other than that it's an open book). Even so far as to selecting the start times (within reason, of course. Also note that if you have day games during the week, it can affect your attendance...especially early or late in the season)

2) Set up uniforms. Allow us to set up what uniforms are used. For instance, in my Cardinals franchise, I am using the powder blue uniforms, white pants with the alternate Sunday cap (bird on bat) as my standard Sunday home uniform. Instead of me having to do this every time...in the offseason, allow us to set up the uniform options and select when they will be used. Even so far as to have us be able to select "turnback the clock" games where the old school uniforms can be used.

3) Stats. Have the players "card" show what teams he played for in the past and his stats. The current just shows his stats but doesn't tell us what team he played for.

4) As others have mentioned...some sort of ceremony on your home opener to commemorate you winning a division or title. Would also love to see the accurate home opener ceremonies for each team (Orioles run down the orange carpet...Cardinals have the red Chevy trucks with the players and coaches riding around the warning track and the Clydesdale horses with the wagon.

5) After a player retires, put them in the "coaches" data base so they can be hired in some aspect.

6) Not sure if possible, but maybe expand minor leagues to cover all of Class A (but not have Class A be playable but used for rosters...maybe also expand roster capacity)
