Now this year I haven't felt this is as prevalent as previous years. But that's probably because the ease of getting a strikeout this year compared to any other year. But it's for sure still a thing in 2023 and probably always will be.

#2- This is a new one for 2023 I have definitely noticed myself. Any time I bring in a new RP, whether middle inning or not. They give up a homerun first at bat so many times it's extremely noticeable. Very weird, and a new one I've never experienced before.

I would never say or think comeback code however. Only one year I felt that was a thing YEARS ago I can't even remember the year. That year if cpu was down, randomly your 2B would drop the ball on the transfer before turning a double play.

This would seem to always happen at the worst times. Let's the guy at 3rd score to tie game etc. And every time it happened the cpu enevitably rallied and became unstoppable until they either tied or took the lead. I haven't seen this since that year thank God. I remember a lengthy thread about a comeback code that year particularly as well so I wasn't alone.

No offense, but I don’t agree with this. The RP homer first at bat, or the bobbled ball at just the right time. I have not seen this.

In the two games I played last night, I gave up a first pitch dinger with a bullpen guy & I hit two first pitch homeruns off their bullpen guys. Interesting you mention that and last night it was very influential in my games.

My first game last night - I'm down 5-1 in the 9th and win 6-5; my second game I lost two leads 5-3 & 8-5 to finally lose 10-8 in the 9th.

I'd like for someone to keep track of how many 2 OUT runs I give up compared to how many less than 2 OUT runs... be veeeeeery interesting.

The bobbled ball transfer was something that happened years ago leading to cpu coming back to tie or take lead before the game seemed to let you get the third out. That hasn't been in the game since.

The homeruns against my RP on first AB for me has definitely been a thing this year, however. So much so that it's noticeable and likely to happen way more often than I ever experienced before.

Lol, yes they are always first pitch as well, which makes them seem even more fishy

WOW, I can't say that I've seen this. But that has to be EXTREMELY annoying. But hey maybe that's better than striking him out on 3 straight fastballs where he doesnt even swing....(kidding, kidding...)

Lol true that. I'm hitting only and quick managing pitching now so I'm not even bothered anymore. Now I'm lucky to get 6Ks in a game with those strikeout machine Pittsburgh Pirates lol.

You arent pitching is part of the problem. I am a manage mode player. Your statement is VERY accurate. RP comes in and is horrible. One of the issues with manage mode/quick manage sim. Starting pitching is to strong and RP is just weak. I had constant games where SP ing would be lights out and my RP would come in and all the hits and runs started. It is something within the sim programming this iteration. Which is one of the reasons I am going to try and go back to "playing" and not do manage mode. I have over 5 years of manage mode playing and while I wont use the word scripted, I will say something under the hood is different. Tendencies are a lot more noticeable.

Franchise SIM is dead. Find your favorite iterations and play it forever. Card games are whats "now" and games will cater in that direction and forget realism.

Just have fun and play :)

The issues I'm talking about are when I was pitching full games. Hard to say if what you're saying is true for quick managing/simming pitching only. Using the Pirates so when they give up hits and runs I feel okay cause it's the Pirates. If I am very cautious and slow down when quick managing I can manage the RP where it has seemed fine to me so far.

I've given up 6-7 runs consistently sadly in 3 or 4ip by my SP. RP come in and hold it down for the most part. Game balance for pitching seems way more balanced for me.
