I am on 720p and game mode has nothing to do with stutter in the game.

There is like a 50 page Stutter issues thread on this forum and SCEA has already spoken on looking into it.

If you visit various forums there are plenty of folks who get it.

I'm not doubting you; just expressing that I didn't encounter it. I also try to stay away from the forums just prior to reviewing a game, mainly to stay objective. Anyway, I didn't experience it, so I couldn't include it in the reviw.

Just curious if it is something I could try to reproduce, that's all.

no it cannot be reproduce because it seems to just happen randomly. It was an issue last year but this year worst.

When the CPU is about to release the pitch it stutters for a second completely throwing your swing off.

Also I heard that day games are happening more then they should in franchise mode which does not reflect the actual start time of real mlb

Did you check that?

Spot on review. I purchased a PS3 for one reason: The Show. Only time I've ever put down cash on a system to play one specific game

finally this year's show is actually pretty damn good the commentary isn't better than mlb2k but is tolerable and it finally feel's like you can score run's this year and hit homerun's which was my biggest gripe 2yrs ago and the reason I didnt buy last yrs game. But I'm glad I purchased this yrs game cause im having fun with it.

You can also make it so that you don't have to see your teammates' full ABs while on the basepaths; you can change the settings so that you only see 1/4 or 1/2 of the AB. Makes it so that you don't have to watch 6+ pitch ABs, taking up like 6 hours lol.
