This opening of the timing window, and making the game more offensive worries me, I'm not going to lie. I thought last years game was fine after you adjusted the sliders. I had a realistic mixture of slug fests, and low scoring nail biters, with plenty of your average 4-2, 5-3 games in there. That's why the sliders are there, if it were perfect for everyone out of the box they wouldn't need sliders. But now I worry that every single game is going to be homerun after homerun, and doubles and triples every at bat. I just worry that every single game is going to be arcade offense. Please ease my mind about this someone. lol

Well you kind of just answered your own concerns. The game obviously isn't going to be perfect for everyone out of the box, but SCEA likely had enough data to conclude that most users would benefit from this change. The sliders are still there and if it's too easy to hit you could probably lower the slider for timing/contact or whatever else to make it more realistic.

Still no jersey numbers on the players backs in the runner window. Will this be fixed?

It's not broken there isn't enough memory to display them anymore.

Russell also mentioned in the video that your batting average will go up, but you're not going to hit .700 or anything like that. This is actually a good thing. I agree with what Russell said in this game you fail 7 out of 10 times, but at least this way when you make supurb contact with a ball you wont always be penalized for it.

I consider myself to be a baseball nut, and like to play realistic SIM sports games, and I thought hitting was just too hard last year.

I would either be too early, too late, too under, to over, I felt like non-power hitters couldnt get hits constantly because they couldnt drive the ball or find gaps.

Although this is only one video I already saw something I never seen before in MLB The Show video game....a guy like Brett Gardner get a double!

As Ramone mentioned, it is not making the game a slugfest or easy, just more realistic when it comes to offense.

I always felt lik ethe CPU could get those hits in the gap or hit when they needed it most. But if it was the user hitting like you said it would be too early, too late etc....... regaurdless if it was a power hitter or not and whenever you'd get supurb contact and good timing you could never get that base hit you needed or the ball hit in the gap cause it was either hit directly at someone, or the infielder would have some amazing play and rob you of the hit(infielder was phsycic) or the outfielder would track the ball down in the gap or he would already be on the run as the ball is hit and would run the ball down for the out. That was always the frustrating part to me in 12.
