Ok, I'd love some feedback on a recent trade I made in my Yankees franchise, just before the start of the regular season.

I traded Joba Chamberlain (as a RP, not converted to SP) and Austin Romine (B-pot Catcher) to the Twins for Scott Baker.

Fair? Good trade for me? Just looking for some random feedback!
This seems fair.

Ouch! I am glad that my A's don't have to play in the same division as your Rangers. That would be a tough lineup to overcome. Nice trade. I would love to go after Pujols. I wonder what I would have to give up to get him.

To me that seems a lil high for Scott Baker

Yeah, I figure it was either giving up just a bit too much, or fair. Frankly, given the Yankees position, I figured that the Twins could ask for a bit more than usual and still get the trade done, so I was ok with it.

That being said, I'm going to restart once the OSFM rosters are released, so I'm just messing around for now. In my actual franchise I'm going to consider moving Joba to the rotation in ST and see how he performs.

I can see why you might want to, but I'm one of those guys who thinks that Joba's been mishandled and could have been an above-average starter or more if he was handled correctly (that being said, I don't claim to have all the info... maybe the team knows something I don't here). So, in my "MLB The Show Fantasy World," I might want to give Joba a shot as a starter, and if he doesn't perform in ST, either have him start the season in AAA or shuttle him back to the bullpen and call it quits on that experiment.

While I like keeping things realistic in terms of fairness, I like to let my franchise take on its own life rather than mirroring the real world

we all have our own opinion. The Yanks messed him up. He would've been the successor to Rivera if they let him be

I absolutely agree that we all have our own opinions on this one (and clearly this is one topic that, for Yankee fans, is never going to be settled). Starters are more valuable than relievers, and so if I've got the opportunity to have even a #4 starter, I'll take it. The one thing people tend to forget about Rivera (not saying this about you specifically)... he wasn't brought up as a reliever... he was a failed starter who got put into the bullpen out of necessity.

But enough about real life! I love pitching with Baker - this has been a very good acquisition for me. He's got great control, and I seem to have a great grasp of his delivery. Romine (for me) doesn't have a place on the team anytime in the near future... and if I end up pitching poorly with Chamberlain once I start my actual franchise, this is a trade I might have to make!
