those saying the Giants should be higher, what the Giants did last year was completely unexpected and they did it without a team of stars. If you take the individual ratings of each position they are not better than teams like the Red Sox and Yankees. They have a great pitching staff but just because they won the WS doesnt mean they deserve to be #1, that would make them completely overrated.

And people complaining about the Yankees, they still have Cano, Tex, A-Rod, Jeter, Granderson in the field with decent players like Swish, Gardner & Posada, a strong bullpen. Their starting pitching is their weakness but if you go position by position their team is still strong and filled with highly rated players which is why they rate so high as a team.

lol, I can GUARANTEE you the Angels will be a top 4 AL team next year.

24th? hahahhaha..

the AL West will be tough. All 4 teams (even the Mariners) were in the top 6 for ERA. Oakland is on the rise and Texas will still be good. Last year the Angels were a 95 win team as usual but got hindered by injuries and lack of cohesiveness once Morales went down.

Last year the only problem the Angels had was injuries everywhere and missing their thumper in the middle of the lineup (Morales).

Getting him back, plus getting Abreu and Rivera out of the outfield alone will make their pitching (Haren/Weaver/Santana/Pienero is nasty) even better.

Who said the Giants should be higher? No one in this thread. I think all Giants fans are pumped they are 3rd.

After reading through this thread, it seems to me that the people calling the Giants "over-rated" are fans of the Phillies and Braves or have Socal or LAX in their name. Hmmmm....
