I usually stay out of these, but all I have to say is that if Alex Rodriguez is 83 for fielding and 80 for reaction and David Wright is 89 fielding, 74 reaction ...

Then Adrian Beltre better be 100 reaction and 120 fielding. Comparatively speaking since they are both well in the negative with UZR, and Adrian is well, well above the positive. Ranked #1/150

Considering Alex and Wright are the worst at their position by the rating.

Yeah, forgot about the whole 3 year thing. I mean, they are really close so I have no beefs with it....you think Wright will bounce back this season? I mean he had a steep dropoff on HR's...

And yeah, I have been pleased with Zimmy's glove! As for his offense, it definitely helps to have Dunn batting behind him...

Wright was horrific last year on defense. He certainly isn't a Gold Glover in my opinion, but a majority of his errors have come on throws. His range isn't the greatest but he does pick up just about everything hit to him so his actual fielding is more than solid.

His throws are all over the place though...it got better, but last year he regressed in what was just an obviously overall horrific season.

Absolutely...it's not even a concern of mine.

He may not be launching 30+ homers anymore, but I would be shocked...SHOCKED...if he doesn't go somewhere around. 310 25 110 this year.

Responding to my own quote...I just looked up Wright's UZR/150 rating. No that it's the be-all, end-all, but he was -13.2 last year...last among the 18 3B who played everyday.

However, he was 4.8 and 3.6 in '07 and '08, respectively, so his range is actually better than I thought.
