I hope that makes sense. For the record, I still can't see this as being perfect. I forget which OS member it was who used to want to play every game of the season the day that it was played, and then make the same roster moves when they did in real life as well... and I couldn't ever understand why he would want to do that, or exactly how it would work. If he played as the Nationals and Espinosa goes down, I don't think he would want to put him on the DL in his season as well. Or say a player gets brought up in real life who sucks in the game, and he brings up this player and he sucks, I don't think he would want to keep playing him and keep him in the majors, etc.

That's the only reason this thing would kind of be weird.
There are a few on OS who do that and I know a fair share of people outside of OS who do that too. EVERY single roster move and they try to play within those constructs. Personally, I micromanage like crazy in my franchise and that still sounds ridiculously tedious to me, but to each their own.

I'm not saying the new MLB Today mode would even work like that, but I can understand the appeal. What I do think it will be good for is all the people who like to just play the MLB Today games but also like a sense of connection to their games. It might provide some balance in that regard. Hard to say without knowing the specifics though.

Blz...Blz....Blz
No confusion.
I get the concept.
.....and that's my point. If you are playing the games....the stats(OMG....THE ALL IMPORTANT STATS THAT PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS SCREAMING ABOUT! ) and standings would not line up.
I just showed you a situation that would make it drastically different, so why not just let the game and it's ratings let the season play out?(hopefully to somewhat realistic results!)
That's fine if it's the other way....no big deal.
I just don't see how it's better than the way bf'njoe described, which IMO would be more fun in a franchise setting.
What others are describing...sounds better for exhibition play(IMO)

Either way...it's cool...no biggie.

Re: MLB 2K12 Features

I think I'm just lost on what the problem is. Of course they wouldn't line up, because we're playing something different. We just like to give our own "what if?" on the same situations that the teams face every day.

Or... are you saying that regardless of what you do, the player ratings will all be determined by what the players do in real life? I know the roster moves will be determined by real life transactions, but if we hit 1.000 in the game with a player who is hitting .000 on the year in reality, you're saying his ratings will digress but they should improve, correct?

This had better be just a beginning list and not the actual features list or I will be waiting Another year to get a baseball game.

Of the 5 features listed, one is having music, and another is a different throw meter (these are automatic things that aren't really worth a mention). Improving a feature already in (my player) should be expected.

So that leaves playing daily games (doesn't sound exciting); can't you always do that on your own? And dynamic tendencies; does sound like a good feature but I thought they added something similar to this before (unless it was a different game like madden or nba 2k).

- Where are the things that fans have been asking for? What about Franchise/Dynasty mode?
Can we have an owner mode like MVP 05, to control prices and build a stadium? Team chemistry? How about fixing the draft (unless they have already) and making their be some info and depth to it. I want to be able to create a team to use in Franchise mode.
What about stuff for total careers.

I realty hope they fixed the player salaries. I mean last star players would resign for like 10 years 30 million. I hope the contracts are more realistic, and players actually go to free agency.

There's no basic franchise mode in the game? Are you sure? That doesn't make sense, every game has franchise mode.

Re: MLB 2K12 Features

I'm dying to hear more about My Player.
I really hope we get interview's like they have in NBA.

I don't need to have post-game interaction after every game, but maybe when I've done something awesome, or something really bone-headed.

Or perhaps, I only get interviewed once I'm more than just a lowly rookie in the majors.
