Re: Major League Baseball 2K10 Patch is Live, Post Impressions Here (360)

Just finished my third game post-patch. A couple of new things I've observed.

1) Played Dodgers vs. Nationals. They had Jason Marquis on the mound, and he had a rough outing. I made him throw 28 pitches in the first inning, and I hit a 3-Run HR with Manny to take the lead. Not really overly relevant, but they scored two of their own in the bottom of the first. After having a relatively easy second inning (1 hit, 13 pitches thrown), I was very surprised to see a pinch hitter come in for Marquis, and there was a new pitcher to start the 3rd. Now, I didn't really pay attention to what his fatigue was at after the second, but it seems AWFULLY weird that he was pulled after two innings, 41 pitches, and a 3-2 tie? Again, I have the Pitcher Fatigue slider at 70 (from pre-patch), but I think I'm going to reset it to default for post-patch.

2) I think I have found a new bug (for kpkpkp to report to Ronnie at 2K). This has happened to me three times today, with two being from my last game against the Nats. After a random action replay (this one being a 2-run HR by Zimmerman), the camera gets stuck on the batter in the box. The weird thing is the replay is done, and the camera is just focused on the batter for some reason??? After hitting every button on the controller, I found that hitting the D-Pad down (sub menu) brings the game back into action. Has anybody else experienced this?

Any thoughts?

Why does it seem that the patches we are always waiting for 2K to put out don't really make the game better? I hope the next patch will be the greatest patch EVER! I'm not going to hold my breath tho.

I play 2B in My Player and see IF popups on a pretty regular basis.

Well, let's see: we now have Check Swings, less jaggies, and the CPU doesn't leave their pitchers in for insane lengths of time, Player of The Game is fixed, plus they fixed the online ranked game bug and a boatload of little things as well

The game is definitely better, especially for a patch released just 13 days after the game was released (and it was getting approved by MS for about a week, so that's even less time that they had to work on it). Let's be realistic. This is a good patch considering that they worked hard to get it out ASAP and they did what they could in that short timeframe. The next patch should fix more of the major things, but let's cut them some slack on this one. Another patch is coming.

Kudos to 2k sports for not making 360 player wait longer because PS3 users didn't provide as much productive feedback.
The reason the PS3 did not receive the patch was not because of a lack of feedback, they are both the same game. Different systems same problems. But you are right about the PS3 version getting two patches in one. Looks like us PS3 owners are just going to have to be patient.

From what I can tell on my 360, you PS3 guys aren't missing anything!

I just saw my first error, but it still wasn't recorded as one.

Playing in FLA as the Giants, Fred Lewis hit a shallow pop up to RF that Cody Ross took a bad angle on and had the ball bounce out of his glove.

It was nice to get on due to an error, but to not have it recorded as an error sucks. At least it didn't go down as a hit.

Well let's see: They put check swings into the game, They should have been in the game since the beginning. It is nice they put it out so quick BUT I would have gladly waited another week or two to make sure these things worked properly. It seems like the pitching is still hit or miss to me.

Re: Major League Baseball 2K10 Patch is Live, Post Impressions Here (360)

I apologize if this is covered elsewhere, but I just played my first game with the new patch and wanted to say that I noticed a couple things.

Now maybe it is just my imagination, but everything seems a bit slower, fielding, throwing, pitching. These are good things. Also I swear that the fastball is straightened out. again, could be my imagination.

So I started a new franchise with Boston. Things were going along great until in the 7th I homered with Youkilis. The stat said "1st today" (6). Meaning first today, 6th of the season?? Uh oh.

Then the pitching fatigue looked great until the 9th inning...thats when Beckett reset to 99. Made it that far though (used to revert back in the 7th. Uh-oh again.

BUT, then the box score at the end of the game...MAJOR UH-OH's. Beckett went 8 full, zero runs and had a 3.19 ERA. The hitters all showed last seasons averages. I had one steal with Jacoby and it showed that he had 16 on the season. Martinez had 2 rbi's in this game and it showed 22 for the season.

So basically stats way messed up. Can somebody tell me if they experience the same starting a new franchise? Do I just need to cold-boot the xbox and start again?
