I agree about the sig stuff...overall, it's quite good and very detailed. As for basic animations (running/walking, swings, generic throws, etc) they are very twitchy and unrealistic IMO. Something that I hope they've focused on this year. They seemed to have tightened up the fielding animations though, which is an excellent start.

I agree with you there. 2k usually does certain canned animations better than anyone. That's why these trailers are misleading sometimes. All it's showing are the best animations in the game. You kind of have to see the whole game in action. Like nba 2k10 for example has tons of animations that look amazing, but the overall movement of players isn't as organic. The framerates are crappy and the speed and pacing of the players is all out of whack. The Show really nailed the batter and pitcher duels last year and i thought it felt very realistic when you were at the plate hitting hte ball. MLB 2k9 on the other hand was horrible. The pitching felt good but the batter AI was so bad and you could pinpoint your pitches it didnt matter.

This is what i want to see is if 2k really concentrated on getting that organic feel down as far as pitcher and batter duels go and fielding, baserunning, pickoffs as well. 2k games have a tendency to look amazing in spots but are very robotic otherwise. It's been a while since 2k has released a game, where they've really tightened up their gameplay..

Haven't read through this whole thread but did anyone else notice the catcher's glove and the umpire's mask color at the beginning with Tex hitting? They're both BRIGHT red.

That's hilarious seeing a hype score of 4 for this game. I wonder if the developers of this abomination of a series take note of things like that.

Hopefully it's an early build, because that doesn't really look like Jeter.

That's a pretty blurry picture. I'm willing to bet he looks better once you see it on your own TV. Jeter is normally one of the guys who gets some love, in terms of facial accuracy.
