M12 cpu vs cpu

As I understand, M15 doesn't have the option to enable cou vs cpu games. I've held onto M12 over the years and am thinking about getting back into it. The only drawback to this mode or play is the amount of time it takes to play a game. Is there anyway to advance between plays instead of having to wait for the game to go through its default logic? All buttons are dead outside of start in cpu vs cpu so you cannot manually advance after plays. Anyway around this?

The only way you can do it is to push the start button, go into instant replay, exit right back out and go back to the game. I do that after scores when it takes forever to get the next kickoff.

Ok, great. I'll use that. Thanks. You have any solid sliders you've been using for cpu vs. cpu games? I'd be interested in trying some out.

Here is a link to my coach mode sliders. Go to post #68 and you will see sliders for cpu vs cpu.

Cool. Thanks. Are you still using these? I saw some later posts from you with different sliders. Are those the ones you are using? Maybe they're the same. I didn't compare.

Also, I saw a lost a few days ago from someone regarding M12 and he said he reduced the LB jump ability and the DTs block shedding ability by 30 and it helped with INTs and sacks by DTs. Have you tried any of this?

Yes I am still using these sliders. The only thing that is different that I can think of is that I have lowered the pass rush slider down to 80. I will double check them for you though and if anything else is different I will let you know.

As far as the DTs let me explain. The reason the pass rush slider is so high was because everybody was lowering it when the game came out. Of course everybody thought that would help decrease the DTs sacks, it didn't. So over the course of making these sliders another guy jumped in and was helping me. He was the first one to raise the pass rush slider and noticed the DEs getting more sacks and more pressure on the QB, and for some reason it seemed to slow down the DTs at the same time. So the sacks by the DTs have decreased with the way the sliders are, but really good DTs are still gonna get through. Although with the slider down to 80 I have seen even less DTs get sacks. Right now 3 games into my season, my DTs have 2 sacks, my DEs 6.

As far as the LBs, what is the problem with them? I know everyone says they jump way up in the air and bat down passes, but honestly I don't see anything really strange about it. In fact 3 games into my season I have not seen it once. So when it does happen I don't think anything about it other then the guy made a nice play. But if you think it is bad lower their jumping down a bit.

One other thing I will tell you (sorry for the long post here), is if you are using updated rosters that you downloaded, (like this years rosters) the game may play different. I tried using some updated rosters and the games were terrible. There would be like 5 INTs for each team, you couldn't run the ball, the announcers would call out names of guys not even on either team that was playing. So I just went back to the default rosters for the game and it's way better.

Re: M12 cpu vs cpu

This is all great info. Thanks for taking the time. Yeah, I've played with updated rosters last year and the announcers calling the wrong names is pretty annoying. I noticed it was only on defense though. I also saw a post recently saying that a roster maker found a way to correct it.

That's so weird that the newly updated rosters play differently than the default rosters. It's not like any of the attributes are skewed in one direction or the other. I wonder what it is that makes it play differently?

Do you control all 30 teams? And do you go through and cut all the cpu created guys during camp? Any other franchise pointers to help keep this game realistic and fresh?

Thanks in advance.

No I don't control all the teams, I only worry about my team. I don't care who gets cut by the other teams. I don't have much else for you as far as keeping the game fresh.

My biggest thing is, I don't edit players, at all. If my first round draft pick is only a 70 ovr and I think he should be better, oh well, I should have scouted him better. That's just how I like to play the game. I like to build my team and if I make the wrong calls, well it happens.
