By bringing in these casuals just proves to me that a simulation football game is not the goal with madden.
Don't know why they don't think sim will not sell to casuals, they should know from other sports titles that sim sells.

Madden has never been a sim game. That's why I don't get all up in arms.

It's Madden. It's a hybrid game. Sometimes they make really good ones (2005,2007 last gen and 2010 and 2012 this gen) and sometimes they make stinkers (First one for PS was sub par, 2001 was sub par for PS2 launch) and all the debacles this gen (2013 was one of those debacles).

M25 to me....looks like it will be probably the best this gen will have to offer. And if they get it right...it will be a good Madden game.

I like playing a functional Madden game and M13 was dysfunctional to the max. M12 was very functional and still is a solid title.

If you know what Madden has been....and will always be your expectations will be far lower and you may just enjoy the game.

It's fun to play IMO most of the time when things work as they should.

When I want sim football.....well we know where that's going.

In their eyes they are happy playing the middle.
No matter what they feel like madden Is doing good numbers for them so there is no reason to switch it up. Going straight sim will turn off a lot of hardcore casuals. Going straight sim would require a lot of under the hood stuff that take a lot of time to fix. I am hardcore sim. Just not going to complain about a game that is not made for me.

Why doesn't Madden make a sim setting?
Rookie, Pro, All Pro, All Madden, Sim...

2k had a performance EQ setting I loved.. It did not
make everyone the same, it made the bottom of
the roster uptick a few points, the high rated players
came down a few points..

In that Skins Vs Boys Video, were they playing on All Pro?

Romo was ridiculous, even some of the RG3 stuff was too..
Romo is mobile, but not like that.. Maybe on Slow \ All Madden
it would not look so bad... That video made me cringe..

Only thing I liked, was how you can slam a player to
the ground if he jumps into you..

Exactly. This game has NEVER been anything close to a sim and after TWENTY-FIVE YEARS there is no reason to think that will change. It's a simcade game where the most sim thing about it is the licensing.

I have always been able to enjoy Madden in past generations because I accept it for what it is. But the many bugs in the games this generation (especially last year) and the massive removal of features is why I have been so disappointed with the game. With some of the features they put back in the game this year, if they just Quality Test M25 then I will be content with it.

2005 was pretty darn close!

Not asking for perfection, but MLB the Show like quality is what im truly seeking. That passion and connection those devs have with their craft of that sport is very telling. Thats what I think we are striving for, I dunno how people think being a SIM type of game would be a bad thing when the same people always complained about how easy it is to score and that stats werent "realistic" enough!

Ironic aint it
