Cam Weber: Madden NFL 25 on Next-Gen Will be Fully Featured

Pretty much looks like last years madden with foot planting. Thought I was going to see something amazing, but it didn't happen. None of the tackles looked organic/real to me. Im very disappointed, I thought next gen meant innovation. The game seriously does't even look next gen.

Kinda surprised they even showed this, it's a pre-alpha or Alpha build, this is not even close to a finished product. Anyone complaining about this has to keep in mind that this game is months away, the video breakdown keeps all this in mind and the guy is obviously impressed(he is usually very critical of madden).

If it comes September and it still a mess then you should worry.

It's definitely/obviously a step up from current gen, but I really don't think the first year of a new system is ever a good time to judge a game that is released on a yearly cycle. The players did seem to lack weight (compared to my expectations) and I'm really curious if all of these AI/programming changes have been implemented for all defensive players the way they've upgraded for offensive players and linemen. A true read-and-react programming logic needs to be implemented for all defensive players.

As much as aesthetics and player movement are important, my biggest expectation from next-gen is getting the players to think and react more like humans. The capability is there on the new systems to get this done, but the programming has to be done correctly by someone who understands the mental aspect of the game from the perspective of each position/player on the field.

I'm sorry guys but this is un-acceptable. So your telling me that if they changed the title of this video to xbox 360 Madden 25 that you would know that it was different or current gen. No nobody would. That's the question that everyone needs to ask themselves. Does this really look like something new and different. Its the same animations we have seen for 2 years now. What happened to force impact on stiff arms? You telling me that the same stiff arm where the all of a sudden the runner just throws the defender in front of them and keeps going is next-gen if thats next-gen I don't want anything to do with it. Open your eyes guys its the same animations over and over again. Can anyone point out a new animation besides double team blocks? Not to mention when he did that stop and go thing at 1:33. How do you go from running full speed to being on your tip toes. How is that possible?

I think people are opening thread, looking at OP video and pressing last page to make comments before looking on page 4 post #38 and looking at a more detailed analysis of said video.
