we did not even see CCM in February, and then we saw a very raw version in May. It's hard to know exactly what you can and can't do online at that point. There is no real online environment at CD, so basically your looking at all the new features in offline type environment. I don't do much roster or player editing so i was more focused on the CCM mode as a whole.

I'm an online gamer for the most part, so i see it as two huge steps forward with a small stumble back. Once you start messing with the XP in a CCM all the ratings are changing anyways. I understand the equipment aspect, but the ratings is something that will be dynamic inside the CCM... so I'm ok with that part for now.

Hopefully it's something they will address though, as a large portion of the community really love to edit their rosters.. that's for sure.

I will say if no one in that entire group thought to question the effect CCM would have on Franchise...EA needs to select a more diverse group of GCs. Not just all people who play online or tournament players. The minute I saw these changes the first thing I thought was "Multiplayer franchise?....Edits?...NCAA import?" Why? Because I dont play online and my focus is offline franchise.

Exactly. Season mode wouldve saved this game in my eyes. I've played a ton of games in the past with a stripped down season mode that allows you to edit and use multiple teams while having a single player franchise. I think thats the way Fifa and NHL are right now.

we asked about several of those.. but like I said, when told some made it, some didn't, some might.. all you can do is express what you think is important when considering the whole feature set. It's give and take at some point.

Don't get me wrong - I am beyond pissed that we can't edit players in CC. I am one of those gamers that spends as much time editing as I do playing.

I am even more frustrated that you cant import draft classes from NCAA though. I love playing those two games simultaneously and being able to bring my players from the NCAA game over to my Madden franchise. Brings a lot of realism with the connection between the games (funny that the new feature is called Connected Careers when it is disconnecting their two major football titles). The fact that starting in season 2 I am going to be playing with fake rookies is a deal breaker for me.

For example, I'm a huge Tennessee fan and really excited to see where Tyler Bray and Justin Hunter go in the NFL. I'd be excited to try to trade up in the draft to take one of them and play my franchise with them. Now I don't have that chance and will have to play with Henry Winkenbacher as my QB of the future. C'mon EA!!!!

Im gonna stick to Madden 12 since you can have full editing controls. Only thing I'll be missing out on past year one is the real schedule. I'd rather play a phony schedule for one year than not have the ability to edit.

I get the frustration, but your going to ignore all the other enhancements made to the game and stick to 12 because of ONE draft class? I mean sure you might get 2 that are somewhat accurate, but after that.. it would be all guessing and subjective ratings at best.

How many seasons do you play in a franchise? Hopefully it's upwards of 5 or 6 at least... so you will be mixing if fake rookies all over the place soon enough anyways.

You have to put it on a scale and weigh it out.. i still think the new features outweigh a draft class or two.. no? And the draft class import never really worked well in translating ratings and such IMO.

I'm not making excuses, it's obvious they had to choose what to put in and what to take out. They rebuilt the whole mode.. some 80+ new screens.
