You may not be bothered, and that might be the problem with EA as a whole. So doe's that mean you are happy with what's shown in the video, are you satisfied, is that good enough... or would you rather it not been released? Sorry if I sound like an a**, didn't mean to thats just the way I come across sometimes

I know they threw out the famous "this isn't the final, it's just a work in progress" line(and I know why it is used by many, including myself), but I am going to comment purely on what I see, and not on what I don't see. I do a lot of work in audio myself, even running a small local recording studio as a 2nd job. I would NEVER release anything that I wasn't proud of showing off, or wasn't ready to be seen. Even if that means showing the work I feel confident about, and hiding what was still unfinished. No way I proudly show off poor or unfinished work. That is due to pride I take in my music, audio, video performance and work.

There is no way this is a complete new audio system. If it is, something is wrong at EA sports. It is nearly the same exact system they always have used. one broadcaster comments a bit late on the play by plays, the other rambles afterwards, maybe some banter now. Obviously there are two new voices, and all new lines of commentary.....but in no way is this a new audio engine and if it is they used the exact same person with the exact same ideas as the one who wrote the audio engine before.

I am sorry, but I just don't see talent here at all when I listen to this. Well, to clarify, sure Nantz and Simm's do a good job, but once again this is just poorly implemented. There was still no emotion here on any of the big plays. Nothing here makes me think the guys on the EA audio team are super talented. Nothing here made me excited or added to what was going on to the field (as far as emotion). Football is a game of big moments. We can get 3.5 quarters of a boring football game and one big moment can make the game feel excited and memorable. This is not said as an attack, this is what I personally notice when watching/listening to Madden.

I can tell you right now, if the Madden audio dev's ever knock the audio out of the park, I will give them their credit in full. I can't come on here and say how good this all sounds, because frankly I know better, and that isn't the truth.

This commentary is a step up from 2012, no doubt. I will for sure give them that. My issue is, they have said all year that the main upgrade with madden 13 is yet again, presentation. Wouldn't you be trying to knock presentation out of the park? Wouldn't you want to make all the other game devs say wow, they raised the bar for sports game commentary? I just don't feel that at all. Crowd noises, player banter, etcd isn't going to change what I am hearing. I just don't think the audio devs have the talent or vision to take this to the level I would expect it to be to.

Hopefully come June 4th, I can come on here and say how amazing these guys did this year. Right now I don't see that, but I wish the best for them, and hope they get it right.

Sorry if this upsets anyone. It's just my personal opinion based on my personal view. I am glad many of you are happy with this, and hope you really enjoy the game this year. To the dev's, my views don't mean everyone or anyone else agree's with me. I for sure didn't mean to offend anyone with my comments.

I do like Nantz and Simm's though. Their voices sound great IMO!
