You have to realize everything college does they take it from Madden pretty much. College immobile QBs breaking off of my LBs, CPU throwing hail marys and someone comming down with it in 2x 3x coverage. There are plenty of knocks. Another reason I think Madden is better because today Maddens DEMO came out, and there are more people in this thread than college and their FULL game is out. Madden has always been great, fun, and exciting. Just because College stepped up their awful game doesn't mean it's comparable. At least not in my eyes.

Do you realize what you are saying? Did you see all the upgrades that NCAA put in its development cycle, and all the lack of upgrades in Madden? Somethings not right here......

If not, why would EA hire him?

P.S.- about the demo ... I don't like how far back the camera goes on defense on pass plays. It's futher back than NCAA and almost impossible to defend the pass.

(1) I hope it is only the demo but the crowd goes completely silent when the offense walks up to the line.
(2) HATE that the control scheme is moved to the direction buttons.
(3) Gameplay feels good and NFL Sunday feel is almost completely there. (Like NFL2K5)
(4) Gameflow is G. A. Y ..... GAY!!!! GAY!!!! GAY!!!! (No offense to anyone sexually)

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here

The atmosphere and the commentary are horrendous in the PS3 demo. Too much pausing, and slow delivery in the commentary, and the atmosphere makes if feel as though I'm playing in front of 25 people and they are about midway up in the stands. It honestly makes the demo relatively boring. With that said, the gameplay on the field is exceptional in my opinion. The change that locomotion has brought into Madden has made this a "new" game in certain aspects.

All-Madden with no slider adjustments, obviously as they aren't in the demo, playing as the Jets, I held Manning to 8 for 18 passing. He had dropped passes, he was off-target, and once or twice he was hit while throwing. Beautiful. Granted it may be a one game fluke, but the fact that my first time with the game and I was able to do that...I'm happy.

Human passing was about what I expected and remember. Nothing has really changed in terms of the flight of the passes and such, but do feel as though the CB/WR interaction is better. I had Cotchery leave his man in the dust on a double move and hit him for a big gain.

The sideline catches are nice, but at times the animation triggers for no good reason. The Colts had Garcon wide open on the sidelines, and instead of turning to face the ball so that he could catch, stop and then run for an easy 15 additional yards, he goes into the sideline animation catch, keeps his feet in and then steps out of bounds. Hopefully, this is something that is looked into.

The running game is a thing of beauty. Oh how I've longed to be able to run without having to rely on "stick skills" and speed bursts in order to have an effective running game. I dominated the ground with Jets front line. Only issue was I fumbled twice.

The cpu running game was just as good as mine. I recall some players of the demo saying they didn't like the running game as it seemed that the runners always cut back into oncoming tacklers, or into a crowd. I didn't see that once, at least not a moment where I was left scratching my head at what the cpu was doing. At one point, Addai bounced a stuffed play to the outside for the TD. I had a love/hate relationship with that play. Loved that he bounced outside which was the right decision, hated he scored the TD.

The strategy pad takes time to get used to. Yes, its a little unorthodox at first, but I quickly adapted and I must say, while I may be in the extreme minority, I like it. I feels more natural than clicking L1/R1 or whatever to make changes. Its fluid.

Overall I'm pleased with the demo, honestly didn't expect not to be, and cannot wait to play the full version in 2 weeks. Hopefully, and judging by the E3 vids it will be so, but hopefully the commentary and atmosphere are better than the demo in the retail version. It couldn't get much worse.

Demo is okay. It's an improvement from Madden 10, but for some reason it just isn't fun.

You guys have to understand they had to fit this DEMO in a certain size file I think 1.23 GB. Now imagine The rest of the teams, revamped commentary, crowd noises, franchise mode, online, online franchise, even ultimate team. There is so much more that goes into this game. It's sad a lot of people are going to miss out on a great game just because they don't like the demo, or strategy pad lol.

revamped commentary-Gus Johnson is an upgrade, but still a bore to listen to.

crowd noises-Was supposed to be in last year, Ian even confirmed it was on the disc.......yet they never fixed it.

franchise mode-no significant improvements.

online franchise mode-no salary cap.

ultimate team-worthless mode when resources could be spent on fixing the game, especially franchise mode.
