This attitude/culture from the mods has got to stop. I haven't seen a single personal attack at Ian or the dev team. I see a lot of people underwhelmed with what they saw on the video, that's it. Freely being able to comment on impressions of the video, and relating that to previous frustrations of the game (in the specific games forum) seems very relevant to me. Why this would be shot down, locked, or people being red-carded (as you put it) is just a ridiculous and immature idea, imo.

There's a difference between constructive criticism and mindless bashing.

If you haven't seen at least one post here that was nothing but typical troll bash, then I want to know what type of OS filter you have because I would really like to have it too lol.

Holding sprint should not matter at all. Players never move or turn like that period. It doesnt matter if they are sprinting or not. A person still needs to turn around, there was not turning around or planting. It should obviously be more prevalent when sprinting, but there should be momentum regardless.

Locomotion for Madden has been straight wack. I wish it hasnt been, I really do. But it has been. That video shows that it will continue. So they changed the game from the outside first. Like doing plastic surgery before fixing broken bones. Everything in gameplay has to do with how the players move. Once thats right, then move on to all the nice nuances.

There have been instant turns in nearly every game play video released to date of Madden '10. This does not appear to be fixed, and Ian has already stated that locomotion (movement/momentum) will not be addressed in Madden 10 (though they are trying to do what they can to fix various momentum related bugs/issues within the confines of the existing framework).

I know E3 is this week, I think EA would have been better served if he had said he needed to focus on E3 this week (which was understandable, it's crazy there right?) instead of saying he was taking a break from the forums due to the negative feedback.
Yes. And Ian has to find a way to separate his personal life from his work life. He simply shouldn't be taking criticism directed at the game on a personal level.

Easier said then done, especially when you have people saying that 09 isn't anything different than 10, which is the furthest from the truth. I always wonder when people say that how long did they have the game? Week, month at the most? How can a person rent a game for a week and determine that the next game with one 2 minute edited non-enabled pro-tak game play video isn't better than the last game.

Boggles my mind.

Put yourself in Ian's shoes. If people started telling you your product is the same product as last years, and you know those people haven't put that product to use because it's 2.5 months away from being released, it has to take it's toll at some time.

I don't think a breather away is a bad thing at all.

Let the judge and jury decide after August 14th.

The basher's were bashing people that said kind things regarding the video. It's against forum rules for personal attacks.

Most forums that I frequent have the same rule.

Well, after watching this twice, I must say that I am not too impressed.

For one, they didn't show the kickoff return which may be a sign that they didn't change the horrid blocking from last year.

Two, the graphics pretty much looks the same. There are just some new animations.

Three, running looks easier this time around. Did y'all see the open holes?

Four, the presentations don't mean squat if the game is bad. We skip 'em anyway.

C'mom guys... don't get hype over crap.
