Some of it is really really basic stuff from a company making NFL games for 20 years
"The guy from EA" would be the lead designer, Ian.

1. He's on a well deserved vacation, so you won't be seeing him until he returns.

2. It's highly unlikely that he will respond to the complaints in here. There's a bugs/glitches discussion thread for a reason.

I meant on the site in general - OK, so will he respond to that thread? About things like the freezing and ghost wide receivers?

I don't feel this needs its own thread and since this thread seems to be a bit busy lol, I wondered if I could get an answer here.

I doubt it. They usually release it on Friday before week 1 or Tuesday after week 1.

Try the search function. Shoot the first post in this thread is Ian responding to the freeze issues.

I don't know if he's responded to those things specifically (haven't read the whole thread) but he's responded.

Will we be prompted to download 2 patches if we haven't got the first one yet? I don't have the game yet, and I'll be getting it once the 2nd patch is released (with good reviews hopefully). I just want to make sure I also get the stuff included in the first patch.

Yeah, you'll get the first patch. It will just prompt you to download 2 patches. Patch 1 first obviously and then the 2nd.

Technically speaking if they had like 50 patches, when you put the game in, you would download all 50.

OMG - leaping linebackers is the single biggest reason I stopped playing '08 and refuse to get '09 - played the demo and saw leaping linebackers and nearly tossed my controller out the window.

Maybe if the DLC makes it I'd consider '09, but really, man, how low has Madden sunk since just a few short years ago?
