Is my only option to tweak the autosub so Ridley would come out more often/sooner?

Your being to hard on yourself my friend!

Go into your play book for the first series and do your formation subs for Vereen.

Here is what I do when I play as the Giants in my online CFM. During my first drive I sub out Wilson for Brown in my big sets....If I am calling a play from the "I" before I call the play I go the "I" formation set I want Brown in and sub him in. He will remain in that formation the entire game. Little by little, play by play I add in strategic subs throught my formations.

So after you do that......he will show up if gameflow calls some runs from the sets you have Vereen in.

It's a pain in the neck.....but being we play with 15 minute quarters in this slider set....by the mid first quarter...your subs are set.

Amazing that NCAA has a formation subs menu in the dynasty hub....yet Madden does not....mindboggling.

If you not getting enough running plays out of gameflow.....then go to your playbook. It's ok to use your entire playbook instead of gameflow.

I like to use gameflow because it keeps the game moving at a good pace. But I don't always use it.....especially on offense. It's not perfect. Does it help balance out my games against the CPU? Yeah it does as it forces me to run plays out of my "comfort" zone and it does keep games more balanced in the long run.

I would say I gameflow 75% of my offensive calls (sometimes more if the the OC is calling a brilliant game) and defensively I actually have found myself using gameflow 90% of the time this year....for the Dolphins....my DC has been pretty solid.

When I am getting beat up good....I may go into the playbook and override the OC/DC as the head coach.

Just remember not to abuse your curls and slants or any money plays you know the CPU can't stop.....otherwise....whats the point.

This is the reality of Madden football against the CPU. Being able to call a sim like game goes a long way into finding enjoyment playing offline franchise against a weak AI.

Even last gen....I would use ask Madden for 90% of my play calls so I would not smoke the CPU every week.

Through 2 games of testing these, I have 2 words....too easy.

My first game I won 48-9, and my second I'm winning 40-0 early in the 4th quarter. I'm playing as the Browns in CFM, and I've played the Lions and Rams, so obviously they're not that much better than those 2 teams.

Just a note, I do not cheese the CPU, I use All Madden for everything.

Re: Armor & Swords Custom Slow Speed Simulation Style M25 Sliders

I'm going to use your sliders in a Rams franchise, but have a few questions.

When using gameflow, once you select your defense, can we use D-line shifts or make coverage changes with the linebackers and DBs.
On offense, again using game flow, can we motion our receivers and tight end -- primarily for run blocking purposes -- or should we leave them where they are lined up.
Also, I played a few eight minute games using them and was averaging around 82-84 plays from scrimmage per game.
THat would average to well more than 140 plays in a 15 minute game. It might just be my playing style, so should I scale back to 12-13 minute quarters.

I actually scaled back to 14 minute quarters. For my style of play it gets my play count correct.

The only real key rule....is the no-switch rule on defense (once ball is in the air do not switch) and try to also let your CPU teammates make a tackle upfield if your a lineman out of the play instead of switching to the nearest defender. You will be surprised at how much more of a game you will get as you let the player ratings dictate more than user input.

On offense....do not...I repeat do not user catch. Let the player ratings dictate the result. This puts more emphasis on developing your players with XP in key areas like catching in traffic, release, catching, route running.

Enjoy.

Re: Armor & Swords Custom Slow Speed Simulation Style M25 Sliders

Hi guys,

My game finally arrived this morning and I had the opportunity to get a quick game in using your sliders.

To be honest I get so obsessed with how realistic I want my sports games to be that I actually forget to have fun! Before you read my game stats below, please be aware that I am an average Madden player and find it hard every year to find a slider set that is right for my skill level.

I had the most fun I've had in a long time and I cannot wait to play some more! Thanks for taking the time to post your sliders.

Post Re: Armor & Swords Custom Slow Speed Simulation Style M25 Sliders

1st game with these sliders. complete utterly dominated the first half, then had a series of 3 and outs and picks (one of which was one of those ones where defender A knocks it lose and defender B randomly dives and miraculously catches it, the rest were me screwing around b/c i was up so much. i believe i ended up with 4 picks i was completely back on track after the 3rd Q. they actually produced offense 3rd quarter, though admittedly i had a number of user tackling fails. it felt way too easy. lol at one point the rams got 2 holding penalties back to back and ended up something like 3rd and 28. then got sacked. speaking of i was getting effortless rushhes, sacks, hits, hurries, or otherwise pressuring nearly every snap, sometimes id bring a safety on a blitz who was supposed to be dropped back in zone cov. in fact i think i blitz a good 80%-85% the entire second half. My conclusion: either i screwed up loading the settings somewhere or the game was on rookie lmao. but i just got blasted on a different thread for complaning about a guy who uses 5 user acc and 45 comp acc...
